Hey everyone,

Just wondering your thoughts on what kind of squeeze pages make you signup to the list or the freebie,

Any examples would be appreciated and what part of it that ultimatly made you sign up

Thanks

If I'm searching for something specific and the page ticks all the boxes.. I'll go for it.

It doesn't really have to give me something for free, but more information on the specific topic will do just fine.. a freebie does help a little though ;-)

      Hi Jay,

Thanks for the quick response, I'm thinking more of the design elements of the page, what boxes do you want ticked in relation to this,

      Thanks

Ahh..... my bad.... no RedBull Yet

        I want :

Short, to the point... but with enough content to tell me honestly about the benefits of what is being offered..

Not too many graphics, and if there is video then I want the option to bypass it but still get the same info..

        The less distractions the better..

I don't have a problem with that at all. Keep it simple - first name and email address with a 'we won't share your details' message. Nothing for nothing, after all.

What makes me sign up? They have something I want - usually information or a product demo.

The ones that ask for your phone number too (mainly 'bigger' software sites) before you can download their demo that scream 'WE'RE GOING TO PHONE YOU!' are a real turn-off for me. But if it's working for them, cool, I guess.

You want them to subscribe so you need to give them something to encourage them to do so. It's a pain, isn't it, I mean why won't they just sign up for nothing?

        But...

..remember that the only reason they sign up is because they want what you're offering and are prepared to sign up to get it. It may be an after-thought for you, but it's certainly not for them - it's the reason they're signing up.

So it's important that whatever you're offering is good enough and 'sold' well enough on your squeeze page to make them jump that hurdle and subscribe.

        Cheers,

        Neil

Good squeeze pages require your Name + email address or it will include the Surname asked for as well.

Good short copy, down to the point, good headlines, and of course as far as the design go, something interesting, unique and appealing to my 'eyes'

I like good graphics...and usually it will only take a really well designed ecover for me to decide if I will subscribe or not.

          Well that is me. >.>

Not according to my extensive testing.

But then it depends on how you define "Good"

My definition of good is a squeeze page that converts at
            more than 50%.

Good squeeze pages make it absolutely clear what you are
offering, what's the real benefit for the reader and what
the reader has to do to get what you're offering.

I've had great results from a squeeze page with a simple
headline and a box where the reader submits just their email.
The only other elements on the page were links to pricacy
            policy etc. in the footer

I love good graphics also. A professionally designed ecover with matching headers and
background images will do for me. I have a sample i use anytime i design for me or my clients.
I think you mentioned it sometime ago graphicsgenie. I'm sure you remember this link,

            Automatic Money Machines

I recommend this anytime anyday, 'cos it's the perfect squeeze page i've seen.

                Hello John Taylor,

No that isn't my site. I got it from a message posted also in the warrior forum. That's the model i use to design capture pages for my clients.

What about it??? You seem curious to know more about it.

Design elements.... A cool product image for the freebie goes a great way in actually increasing the percieved value of the freebie!

Another thing that has massively helped my conversions is the use of these three "extra" personalization graphics (as I call them)...

                  1. My own photo
                  2. An image of the signature
                  3. A handwritten script that makes it more personal and makes them believe there is a real accountable person behind this website!

See the sample in the first link in my sig...

It is converting at a rate of over 65%! (Obviously with highly targeted traffic that I get)

                    1. My own photo - done professionally
                    2. An image of the signature - done professionally
                    3. A handwritten script that makes it more personal and makes them believe there is a real accountable person behind this website! - no way jose!
