What have you found gets better results(ROI) for the money, owning a channel by either starting it yourself or buying it from someone else...Or renting videos or a whole channel from someone who already has a decent view rate?

Only way to truly know is to split-test them. Sometimes starting your own will be better in the long run and if your planning on to continue to upload videos to the channel. However, if your just looking to siphon traffic and subscribers, then buying a channel might be the best move.

    Why not do both?

If you find a video that is highly relevant to your niche/product, and it is popular/viral then ask away.

But until then create your own channel. Or work on your channel while you contact other video/channel owners.

    No sense in limiting yourself.
