5 Bajillion Dollars to Invest

So what's up with all of the recent posts where people have so much money to invest? Are they dreaming about having the money or do they really have the money or are they just trying to get you to look at their post so you'll click on their links because you think they're successful?

    If it makes you feel better I've got about $100 I'm willing to throw at my first project. If I deem it to be a success (meaning I actually make a sale) then I'd be will to contribute more to it.

    As for having a bajillion... I've got kids so that's where my bajillion goes.

    There's a common "troll game" people play where a bunch of people go to a marketing forum as anonymous guests, then one of them signs up for an account and posts "I have $X, how should I spend it?" so they can all giggle about the marketers jumping and begging and trying to get some of the money.

    It doesn't work too well here, because too many of us are honestly helpful and say "put it back in your pocket until you know what you're doing, and meanwhile go check out these free resources."

    And then more of us say other things that don't make us any money.

    And the trolls say "aww" and go back to DP where this game is actually fun.

    If they actually do have money to invest and announce it in a public forum, they might as well just paint a target on their backs.

    People who have money to invest and don't know what to spend it on aren't ready for Internet Marketing. They need to go back and research until they DO know what to spend it on.

    I've only read a couple of those posts and I didn't think anything of it. Insightful anyway about what some people get up to.

    I've better things to do than that though. If I knew I had x amount to spend I wouldn't be wondering where to spend it. I'd be looking for advice on advertising and marketing.
