2checkout google checkout or paypal

Paypal is still the preferred, but it's a good idea to have all 3 just
in case. For example, someone just asked to buy one of my courses
with MoneyBooker because he's from Eqypt and paypal isn't an
option there.

I have had great experiences dealing with paypal account reps and highly recommend them.

Paypal is the number one choice, but I have heard good things about Alertpay (great customer service). It's the second leading payment processor? Also Google Checkout has that great name recognition!

As stated earlier PayPal is the preferred option. Google Checkout has the problem that your customers have to register an account with them before making a purchase, however PayPal accepts card-only payments as well.

It also depends on what you're selling.

PayPal is still the most popular payment processor on the web.

2Checkout is also good. Never used Google Checkout.

My suggestion: PayPal > 2Checkout > Google Checkout

I've used PayPal for almost 6 months without problems, I do recommend them in comparison to the other two.

Definitely paypal! You're new and it will be simple to set up and start collecting payments. Don't make things complicated just use Paypal.

Stick with Paypal. Atelast in the beginning.

Pay Pal is the best for now , their fee's are kinda high but support etc are pretty high. If you don't do anything shaddy you'll be fine with them.

I use PayPal, but have had so many problems with it. It continually disappoints because of their holds and the constant threat of account freezing. It's the most widely used but has its own issues.

Use 2Checkout! They can handle PayPal payments too.

I use PayPal for businesses that only rely on US customers and a choice of Moneybookers(Skill) and PayPal for international sites. I really do like 2co but I would really switch to them if they also added Amazon Simplepay as a payment option. I do really like 2co's anti-fraud measures as a merchant, although not sure but the conversions might be a bit because of the additional fraud checks done by Visa and MasterCard (and maybe others) though them, they can be a pain in the butt, especially if customers forget their passwords for those card companies.

I would always recommend Paypal as it means anyone can purchase with a credit or debit card even if they don't have an account.
I have found them reliable and they don't take too much in fees.
You will get the most sales using them.

I must admit before making this post that I havent taken the time to read every post in this thread however I feel this is a subject that I am knowledgable upon with my extensive experience with payment processors.

Google Checkout

Problem I have with these guys although I love their system is being in the UK we can only trade in GBP and as many of you know the internet tends to move in USD but other than that they would be on my list of providers to use for certain products.

PayPal

Well I hear all the stories of accounts getting froze and closed especially these days more and more which tends to get me to steer clear of them generally although alot of the time they have an understandable reason but even so....

2Checkout

These are the guys I tend to rely upon for my payment processing. They will take payments via credit card and also paypal on my behalf meaning they have the liability with paypal and I dont.

My good friend Paul Kinder however always says to me dont choose just one payment option mark as remember the more payment options you have for a product or service the higher your revenue is likely to be so why not use all 3 or even 2 of them

some people have trouble paying with paypal (ask customers to sign up to paypal , sometimes rejects credit cards that contain funds)
so i think it's better to find some provider that makes paying very easy/very fast for customers

Have all three, I think that's the most prudent thing to do. Paypal is the most popular, but with all the horror stories I have been hearing, it's probably good to have a couple back ups. Even people I know who sell non-IM related things, like handmade goods have has issues with Paypal in the last year or so.

If you are concerned about conversion, go in for paypal
I will advice 2co if you really don't want paypal.

Paypal is the way to go hands down! Just make sure you work closely with your account rep and you'll be ok!!

I strongly recommend PayPal or Google Checkout but a STRICT NO-NO to 2CheckOut! The user interface in 2CheckOut is pathetic and you need to capture every amount. Lot of complications in it and they try their best to eat up all your money.

Rest assured, PayPal is awesome!
