Which VOIP solution for telemarketer I'm hiring?

The telemarketer I'm hiring on oDesk doesn't have a phone to make calls. So I'm looking for a solution that will allow them to make calls for my business to North America... I'm thinking about Skype, but then I would have to buy a skype number right?

Any suggestions?

    I have heard so many good things about Skype. Skype is the best way to go, but you can also try vonage. I have used vonage earlier, It also works pretty well.

    I just noticed skypes fair usage policy. I'm not sure if this will work for me:

    subscription subject to a fair usage limit of 10,000 minutes per user per month, with a maximum of 6 hours per day. Also, no more than 50 different numbers in total can be called per day. If your subscription includes more than one country, then this is the total amount of minutes allowed per month on your account, and is not a separate limit for each country.

      Do you find that when you hit the max number of 50 calls a day that your account gets put on pause? (due to skypes fair usage policy)?

        I used it for more than that in the past, I think you should be fine

    I was looking into the VBX through Twilio and I'm not sure if I can have multiple telemarketers logging into it and making/receiving calls...

    If you're looking to save up on cash, I would recommend you take a look at

    PokeTALK

    I've heard their calling rates are ridiculously low.

    Skype has a lot more features though, and the quality is fantastic, provided a good internet connection. You should make sure the person you hire has a good internet connection, or there could be a lot of disturbance during phone calls.

    Looking at Ring Central it doesn't look too bad. They allow you to call from your computer like skype.

    Hate to piss on everybody's parade here, but using any Skype subscription for telemarketing is specifically disallowed.

    Just FYI.

    Skype’s subscriptions are for individual use only (personal or business communications) in accordance with our Terms of Use and this FUP (“Legitimate Use”). The following is a non-exhaustive list of practices that would not be considered Legitimate Use:

    Using subscriptions for telemarketing or call centre operations;
