Last night around 11:30pm, just before going to bed, I decided to bump it. Why? I was antsy.

Most U.S.-based people were offline (my supposed "target market" - though this has nearly no actual reasoning besides the fact that I'm from the U.S.), but these were the people that generally already saw the WSO from past bumps.

It ends up that the bump did very well:

People that didn't generally see the WSO, saw it. By the time they'd be awake, since I would bump when they were fast asleep, the listing would be midway down the page and thus much less visible.

And... since fewer people bump at this hour (nearly midnight my time), it stayed at the top of the WSO section far longer than "prime time".

Overview: Bumping your WSO at a seemingly odd time can actually be a great decision.

I've used the "bump" so many times (100s), and overall I can't say a specific time is better than others. However, you should mix it up, and change the "bump" times up every so often to reach customers who wouldn't normally get to see your offer. Good advice.

That's a lot of bumps! The same offer? Hopefully it paid off... which I assume it did... otherwise you wouldn't have bumped it so many times! Of course, as with all of our offers I'm sure (not just mine), some bumps are simply duds, and other ones go beautifully.

Definitely a good tip! If you plan on bumping quite a bit its a good idea to switch it up. I've yet to bump my WSO but I don't think mine brings quite the attention that warrants a bump. I think you have to take ever WSO on a case by case basis.

With my last WSO... well actually it was a warriors for hire thread. I bumped it around 60-70 times & found i got the most sales if i did so just before going to bed (1am UK time).

I had never really thought of mixing it up so a different audience gets to see it, good idea though thanks.

Hi,

I agree with LegitIncomes here..Best to change it around to see which one gets the job done better..
For me it seems that after 9PM BST(British Summer Time) works best but then again I think it was a good day..

Thanks Ross for sharing this tip. I've had best success bumping my WSOs at different times (instead of sticking with one day time), so people from different parts of the world were online and got to see it.

Just like any other type of advertising, you should split test. Compare the results of an overnight bump to a daytime bump and act accordingly.

I think the fact that you bumped it to an audience that hasn't seen it as much was a big part of it.

Since warriors come from all over the world, every few hours the audience will be a bit different than it was before.
