Quick Poll: Writer and PDF Combo

I'm just wondering which combo most of you use for creating PDF documents:

1. Microsoft Word and Word built-in PDF converter
2. MS Word and Adobe Acrobat
3. MS Word and 3rd party PDF converter
4. Open Office Writer and built-in PDF converter
5. Open Office Writer and Adobe Acrobat
6. Open Office Writer and 3rd party PDF converter
7. Some other combination

Thanks.
Mark

Mostly I use Word with JawsPDF Creator print plugin.

I also use OpenOffice's PDF at times.

I just stick with Word and I use Cute PDF for creating PDFs. I also use Cute PDF for saving everything. Instead of printing receipts or subscription confirmations etc, I just "print" them to PDF.

Open Office with built in PDF converter works for me. It's better than other free options that leave the links being inactive.

Wow- I'm surprised so many people don't just use Word's built in PDF function.

Am I missing something? Why do some warriors like these other programs better?

Open Office Writer has a built in PDF function and it's completely free. Can't beat that. Word is good but... $$

I personally use MS Word and the built-in PDF converter if I don't want the security features (disable copy and paste, etc.) and if I need more features such as security, building forms, etc. I use Adobe Acrobat.

I have nothing against Open Office, I use it in a pinch and have it on my PC but as a long time Word user I'm basically happy with Word and see no reason or advantage for me to use anything else.

I usually write articles and content in MS word 2000 premium (can't justify the big bucks for current MS office premium)

For book formatting and writing (kindle, createspace, PDF etc), I use Serif PagePlus x6 which has pdf, mobi and epage modules. x6 has a nice graphics editor and I can do all the resizing and dpi without having another program open.

OO writer is getting better and I occasionally use it just to stay somewhat current.
