How To Make Money Online

So many people are asking this question these days, although each will put their own numbers on the cash amount and the time span needed...

I figured with so many people asking, we might as well share the "secret sauce" with those who want to know...

Chances are that a lot of people will be upset with me for sharing this information...

Some will be upset that I am spilling "guru secrets"...

Others will be upset, because they will think I am leaving something out of the equation... Why? Because this stuff is really simple, and people are always trying to make it harder than it needs to be!!

So, here is the deal...

If you are trying to figure out the secret to making money online, it really is as simple as what I am getting ready to share with you now...


Money is a tool that we trade with others to get the value we want.

If you want people to give you money, then you must give them what they want at a price they consider to be a good value exchange.

If you want a lot of money, you must either give a lot of value or give a lot of people good value.

If you don't have a product to sell (your product or someone else's product), then you must sell a service.

So long as you give your customers good value for their money, they will continue to give you money, for as long as you continue to give them good value for their money.

It is hard in the beginning, because you do not yet have a reputation for being someone who gives good value. But, so long as you give good value early and often, soon your good reputation will pay you handsomely in the form or more customers who are willing to buy the value you offer to them.

Don't make this harder than it needs to be...

If you want to make money online, figure out what kind of real value that you can give to people that meets or exceeds the value of what they give you in order to receive it.

As always, "value" is in the eyes of the beholder...

For example, when I did ghost writing for a living, many people balked at the idea of paying me plus $100 to write an article for them, because they could not see the value in doing so...

However, the people who did use me as their personal ghost writer considered my output to be worth every penny they spent, because the articles that I wrote for them typically found publication in large websites and newsletters.

It was not uncommon for people to hire me to ghost write for them, and them to make sales -- as a direct result of my writing -- in excess of 5x, 10x or 50x what they paid me to write for them.

I don't care whether you think I was worth 10c to 15c a word, but those who used my writing services were happy to keep paying me to keep writing for them. I made them money, and they were grateful to have the opportunity to hire me to work for them.

So there you have it... The "secret sauce" for making money online...

Give people value equal or greater than the value of the money they give to you...

    Well s*** now that the secret's out everyone is going to do it! I quit this crap.

    If only, right? Most won't listen to this. They'll keep thinking (like you said) that you are holding something back. There just has to be some secret method, a code, an order of operations that a select few follow to make money online.

    I just don't get why people can't fathom that "code" being the one step you described above...

    I'd word it like this, "Provide people with goods and/or services they will value more than what you are asking in return."

    The best way to do this is to provide actual value, not just perceived value, since most people can see past smoke and mirrors.

        I disagree. First, he said "give". If you come off as offering to "give" things to people you immediately raise their defences. No one will trust someone who is going to give you something unless it is a gift from friends or family. From anyone else the most people expect is to receive something of value for something of value. I suggested the word "provide" instead of "give" for that reason.

        I proposed "good and/or services" rather than "value" as one cannot convey value per se. Whether something is of value is an assessment based on perception. You can only convey goods or services with a perceived value. This gave rise to my comment that the best way to create a perception of value is if you do your best to provide what you would assess as valuable, not just focus on the potential customer's perception.

          One cannot convey value? If your house has termites and someone comes and gets rid of them, they've conveyed value.

          If you have a small lump growing in your body that's eventually identified as malignant and a team of doctors treats that lump and eliminates it they've conveyed value.

          If you write a guide on how to put together Wordpress sites and people are able to do that to their satisfaction after reading your guide, you've conveyed value.

          There are times when the value of a thing will be based on perception. And not all things valuable to me will be valuable to others. That's why we have hundreds of thousands markets and sub markets appealing to almost literally everyone alive. And the whole thing about business is that whatever market you choose to serve you need to deliver MASSIVE VALUE! Good luck.

      I couldn't agree with you more, tpw.

      It took me forever to figure out the "secret sauce" that you mentioned above. But now that I know, knowing is half the battle...

      ...the other half is taking action!

      I was a serial buyer, but now I don't spend money on anything unless it's gonna give me a good ROI. For example, one thing I spend money on now is outsourcing instead of buying WSO after WSO that tell me I should be outsourcing!

      P.S. Anyone get the G.I. Joe reference or am I the only one that was forced into watching that because of my little brother???

    Answer: Using SYSTEMS!

    Systems make you money. You just gotta follow the right system.
    That would be something that has been proven to work time and time again.
    Don't reinvent the wheel. Look at what the successfull people are doing and learn from them.

    The best earning system I have used so far, goes like this: (List Building)

    1- Find a profitable niche market " A competitive one!" Yes that's where the money is.

    2- Set up a squeeze page with a killer offer! Offer value like Bill just told you.

    3- setup a thank you page with an Upsell10 times much more powerful than your main offer, make sure It's relevant.

    4- setup your auto responders.( Your backends)

    5- Test, Test,and Test

    6- If your funnel converts, send as much traffic as humanly possible!

    You in other words are setting up your sales funnel in place,
    all you the gotta do is make it convert, then send traffic.

        Every IM product on Clickbank says that you don't need a website, traffic, content, an internet connection, or even a computer to make money with their ninja system.

          You don't need a website, but it helps.

          You don't need traffic, but it helps.

          You also don't need content, but having content helps.

          An Internet Connection? If you want to make your money online, then you need this. But then you can offer value to those folks in your hometown, thus eliminating the need for an Internet connection.

    Agreed 100% tpw. I think the problem is that so many people think (read led to believe) that making money online doesn't take any work or that it can be quickly done with a push of a button.

    Once you realize that it takes actual work to make money online and commit to doing the work, no matter which method you choose, sooner or later you will get there.

    IMO - this line (aside from the 'money-making method' described) was the most powerful, and described exactly how humans think.

    Everybody tries to over complicate things because they truly believe that if they can't do it, then it must require someone with godlike IQ.

    This thread sounds a lot like it is telling people to work for their money... they want to MAKE money online. Not EARN money online.

    That being said, it is very true! Money isn't just going to fly out of the computer. You need to find a way to provide value and then find people willing to pay for it. (Not as hard as it sounds, you just need to learn how!)

        Agreed. The idea that SEO and search engine rankings are the only way to make money online is ludicrous.

        I'm a firm advocate that the majority of web traffic should come from sources other than search engines if you wish to build a succesful business- there's too much risk associated with having Google's finger 'on the button' as it were.

    Excellent post, and something that I am implementing...making that overused phrase my motto: Over delivering

    It is simple--and really it's a universal law--what you give comes back to you...so give value, as Bill says, and the rest will work out sooner or later.
