What is "Google Offers"?

I may want to know about this for the 2 or 3 weeks it stays relevant...

Google Offers is another daily deals site. On a related point, MasterCard announced yesterday that it is launching a daily deal.

Does the word over-saturation come to mind?

Yeah, sounds pretty much like groupon and other daily deals websites.

But I highly doubt that Google will just go with the typical deals, it will probably be special deals, probably some nice Google deals there also. But I don't think Google will go down the affiliate link route, they will lose some credibility in my opinion if they do.

It depends, I will check it out.

I don't know if you familiar with dealmap or not, it was a successful company website. They gained huge popularity in 1 year (you could find all type of deals near by in a map from all offer deal sites and coupons) and Google bought them and turned them into Google Offers.

The dealmap was awesome, it been a while since Google take offer but I didn't see them bring back the previous site of deal map yet.

  Thanks, wasn't familiar with Dealmap, but I ran across Google Offers earlier today and saw they have a big search box/sign up link and the thing is in beta.
  
  So maybe they're launching Dealmap under the Big G banner. This is the first day I've seen it and a search on the forum produced zero results.
