Powerpoint or Video of myself talking?

I am getting alot of traffic to my website which is for my offline business.
My business is in the fitness industry which is pretty personable. I feel that I should be getting more business so I am going to add some sort of video. The question is should I do a powerpoint with myself talking or an actual video of myself talking? I am not that good infront of the camera but if I have to I will!

I would say videos work very well. If you don't feel comfortable, however, maybe you could get someone else to do it for you or would be?

Do the video with yourself talking. And if you can do videos with you exercising, this is even better.

With what you have described in your original post, I would have to agree that having you (or someone else) in front of the camera would be the best fit for such a video.

videos convert like crazy and i've recently found this out myself after split testing.

showing your face is a great way to do it, you'll be very nervous and make heaps of mistakes at first but you'll get used to it (and it becomes addictive!)

    good luck!

The addictive part is definitely true - This is a good thread I must say. Good thing I made a video instead of a PP presentation.

Guess I'll be sharing my results here once I launch my site. Cheers!

        Video!!
It SUUUUUUCKS to do if you're not comfortable(I'm NOT!!), and could possibly be uncomfortable for you to watch when you're done(like mine), but it establishes much more of a relationship with the people watching if you do.
        Try it!

Why not both? If you're not comfortable being in front of the camera but want to personalize the video by showing yourself then just step in front of it for a short time and then go to power point. You could be in front of the camera as you introduce yourself and then say something like "okay now let's get to what you really came here for" and then go to the power point and give the presentation.

I am also of the view that videos are often the catalyst for conversion. If you feel your products have more potential, a video of you speaking will probably help achieve that potential.

If you are not comfortable with cameras and can't produce a decent enough video, you can always get a friend or family member to do it. If that is not an option, outsourcing always is. It would be cool to be a celebrity though, so you should try your best. It might take several retakes but the end product will be very rewarding

I find creating a video of myself easier than watching it back...

But seriously, a video of yourself sounds the best option. The first one is the worst one... After that you will find it much easier and soon it will become second nature and quite polished

Hey bigballin6161. I recommend using a video of yourself. People want to see who they will be doing business with. It has worked very well for a number of our vendors. We ourselves are doing a mix of both video and powerpoint presentation for our next launch. I will keep you posted of the results.

I would do both. When you talk about something and don't need to show any material, it si very personal and you will be trusted more when you show you are an actual person. If you want to show something to educate people, a video works well with that too. And more popular is to send the videos via e-mail directly to your list.
