Sell facebook groups?

Anyone know if you can sell a facebook group on flippa?
Does it break facebooks tos?

If you have done it in the past and could show and example? (link to auction)

  • I think you can sell anything you want if you can find someone to buy it.

    You'd simply agree a price, put the money in escrow or something similar, switch the admins for the group, and then OK the transfer of the money. Facebook don't need to know a thing and I doubt they use their resources to trawl Flippa.

    Why, has someone offered you money? Or is this something you're considered from scratch? Do you not feel it to be slightly disloyal to the members of that group - that you're profiting from their input that they give freely? That said, I guess you could do it behind their backs- they'd just see a change in admin. No harm done. Kerching! for you.

    If I was going to pay money for an FB group though - and tbh, I wouldn't - I'd probably want some sort of guarantee of user numbers over a set timeframe. Forum warranty.

    You prolly can, but I don't see why anyone would buy one. They're havens of spam anyway. All the power to you if you do sell one for a good price.
  • I don't think that you can sell a group's page on Flippa. How would you verify that you own it.
