Getting back to IM basics....Has much changed recently???

I have been out of the loop for a while and had a question for y'all. Assuming you can find a decent niche in the market place can money still be made by simply creating quality content on sites like Squidoo and Ezine and linking them to a small niche based website that features products from Amazon?

    Without doubt, on WF, you will find that if you want to make money, the advice you'll get will be:

    Create a squeeze page / decent website or blog, that will get you sign ups to an e-mail list, giving away a freebie of high quality. Upon sign up, some people say you should make them a one-time offer. I think it depends on the niche. I'm building a list in Mixed Martial Arts, and the prospects seem very sensitive to being sold to overtly.

    Continue to stay in regular touch with your list, sending them valuable and relevant content, that will genuinely help solve their problems.

    Every few e-mails, make them an offer of a product, where you briefly introduce it, then link to a vendor's sales page via your hoplink.

    Maybe in the signature of your e-mails, have your affiliate link to the sales page of your most valuable product you're promoting.

    YouTube, Daily Motion etc are also very good ways of generating traffic. As is article syndication, forum posting, guest blogging and commenting on popular blogs in your niche.

    I have seen in some threads that building a list is a great way to increase your chances of building income online. Here is a question for you....Do most marketers that build a list do it just around Clickbank types of products like make money online, get your ex back etc.??? Is it popular to also build a list and promote physical products as well?

      Physical products can work really well in your list if they are still relevant to the niche. Especially if the product is seasonal - mothers day (gifts), Halloween Day (costumes)
      Also you can always find relevant magazine subscriptions or books to pitch your subscribers.

        OK....So find a popular niche let's say for example baby/toddler bathroom and bathing items. Build a WP blog with a few pages with not only products but also helpful information that could come in handy for the parents to use with their kids. Then I guess I would need an autoresponder to use with the blog...correct???

    1. Create squeeze pages with free giveaway
    2. Build list
    3. Sell products

    It's the same. Just new products to sell.
