Authorize.net or Worldpay? What's your preference?

Hi guys

I'm interested in setting up a merchant account. I'm currently running all my transactions through 2checkout.com, but 2checkout has several limitations in comparison to real MERCHANT accounts, like their payout intervals for example...which is only once per week.

As far as I know, Authorize.net and Worldpay.com are real merchant solutions. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

I wish to integrate either one of these into a ecommerce site.

But the question is, which one is better when it comes to ease of setup and features??

    I used WorldPay for a while - it was their payment processing service which was not a real merchant account.

    I found them expensive (for example, annual charges of £160) and I had to wait 4 weeks for the money to be transferred.

    I moved to PayPal specifically to remove these costs and delays.

    Hey Neil

    Did you sign up for their "Payment service only" or did you obtain a Merchant account?
    Apparently a merchant account gives you the ability to receive payments 3 days after a transaction.

    I had their WorldDirect service.

    At the time (maybe 2 years ago) there was a 4 week delay and they also kept a percentage for future refunds and chargebacks.

    Maybe they've changed their model now, because, at the time, it wasn't very competitive.

    Just my take.

    I also found Worldpay to be very expensive when I used them
