It takes practice but try taking something news worthy and then spinning the article into your own with your own summary and take on the subject. If you're content is on sports or politics, you will seemingly always have a subject to write about.

Just go to Ezinearticles.com and look through their article writing training series. It is great and it will walk you through the process from A to Z. I can send you the link if you want.

Hi, If you are learning how to structure your content (Ie, you already know what topic you are going to write about) I suggest this WSO:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ng-author.html

It had a really good outline/format for writing non-fiction content products, pages 40-45 of the PDF alone were well worth the $10 HTH!

I don't like to recommend products by name, but besides from the resource I mentioned before there is another one you might want to try. There is a report by an internet marketer named Jason Fladien called 7 minute articles secrets. Look him up on the internet and see if that is something you can work with.

From my own experience the concept of 'courses for good content' is ridiculous. I can tell you straight up, the value in content has to do with the value of the information that is being given by the source. If you are a professional in your field, and write a really good article about something extremely valuable of which you are experienced, you are likely to see a significant benefit from this content, and so are the readers.

If you are not an expert in a certain field, and you write about it, then it has low value, and no one will care. The bottom line is, you don't need to be schooled in writing good content, you simply need to be knowledgeable enough in some area that you can provide value to your readers.

Everything I write about is something I am passionate about, and very familiar with, and I still got a lot out of a couple of the courses mentioned. Knowing everything about a topic, doesn't mean you know how to organize into content worth reading.

You have written "if you are a professional and write a really good article" - I think everything suggested to the OP has been to try and help with that second part. ;-)

Not true. Not entirely, anyway. Of course, it helps to be an expert, but an expert who is bad at writing will not be able to get the information across properly. On the other hand, a real writer may not be an expert, but they know how to do proper research and check their facts. Often, this involves interviewing the experts and then presenting that knowledge in a way that could be understood by the general public.

Interviewing is one thing, and having facts is another. The problem is that I have found so many articles, blogs, and other miscellaneous pieces of information out there on the net written by supposed 'experts' that is nothing but a bunch of crap. I am talking about people who have no real experience or background bsing a topic just they can sell some sort of product about how to make money online.

A lot of people fall for these misleading pieces of information out there, which is a straight up trick. I am a person who believes that giving real honest information to visitors is the best way to go, and it baffles me to this day the amount of total bs floating around out there.

A lot of the messages even in some of these forums seem to be more about how to manipulate people into buying stuff than actually helping their users and providing a real service. I am here to try and stand up for the people getting ripped off that don't even know it is happening to them. No one else is going to say it, but I don't have a problem doing so.

I remember the first ebook I bought was from a guy on Digital Point. He sold it for 10 bucks and it talked about how to sell online products via Google groups to make money online.

I followed his methods to the point, and I was hardly able to generate any traffic using his method.

He told people to post a positive review and he would give them another product discounted. The sad thing is that his information was totally obfuscated from the truth and was written in such a way that he would be able to manipulate most people into buying it from him because he made it look believable.

Unfortunately, I have found that most internet marketing threads lean towards trying to manipulate users by adding popups, moving things around, or manipulating your offer to trick customers. It took me years to so clearly realize this point. And even as a computer and web expert, it would take a considerable amount of time before you understood this, or could discern truth versus fiction online. Typically, at the time you realize all the manipulation of facts and information going on, it is too late and the making money people have already sold you some nonsense information and claimed to be an 'expert.'

I am totally against this. If you provide real value people will want to come back. It is the same with blogging, it is the same with content publishing and article writing.

I am tired of people posing as experts and manipulating people that don't know what is going on, or only having a small amount of information necessary to make accurate judgments.

I am a professional with a degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. I have been working as a software engineer for 10 years and have a very good understanding of the web, both technically and from a business/marketing perspective.

I value the little guy, and the customer, and if possible, I will take every opportunity that I can to protect the consumer's interest when it comes to manipulating information.

Obviously, the better at writing you are, the better articles you can write. But writing well isn't the heart of the issue. The most important thing that must be there, the most difficult thing to come by is solid information that is valuable. Of course you can't have good information and not know how to write well to make it work, but it is a lot easier to be a good writer than a genuine expert on a subject.

I consider myself a good writer and the reason is because I took a bunch of college courses that focused on writing, philosophy, and English. Those are the types of things that will really help your writing. So I suggest if you want to improve your writing skills, go to the local community college and take an advanced writing class or English class.
