Anyone else having difficulties with paypal today?
I am getting errors logging in and accessing my account.
Also tried to send a payment and the site crashed?

Are they doing scheduled work?
Anyone know?

Yes they announced months ago that there will be 1 hour almost total blackout upgrading something big, April 19 or 20, can;t remember exactly.

From exactly midnight last night, for two hours into April 20th, they were closed.
Probably cost some business for a lot of sellers, as they didn't even post a notice about it on their main page.

This was schedule downtime for maintenance - announced on the Paypal site and by email. Posted about on this forum in advance.

Anyone working online knows scheduled downtime may not be exact - and it's unreasonable to expect any service to be available 100% of the time. It's why many marketers have more than one payment method available for buyers.
