Is this just me being a little paranoid..

Zero sales in the last week ..but I'm getting customers thanking me for the product??

What's up with that??

Check your traffic logs first to see if someone has shared your download page. If your download page is secure, then perhaps someone is sharing your product.

In other words: If there is any kind of rip-off going on, it's probably not CB but rather a pirate/thief.

    Cheers,
    Becky

ETA: Or maybe these are folks who purchased previously and are just now getting around to using the product? That's another possibility.

I recently found a website that had exact replicas of several of my clickbank pages and products. I turned it in to Tom from Clickbank and the account was shut down. But you may want to regularly do searches for your products. It's easy money for thieves to copy and paste clickbank sites.

Did you ask the customers where they got the product from (or ask them to forward you their CB receipt, etc.). If they think they're buying your product from you and you don't have sales, then something is seriously wrong. Asking the customers will expose what's going on pretty quickly.

    I hope this helps!

I wouldn't say that low conversion means Clickbank is a rip-off. Did you make sales that they didn't credit you for?

What are the best way's to protect clickbank products from theft? Also does clickbank automatically refund peoples money after purchase and download if they just ask for it. So they get the product and money back.

          Thank you

          Gerard

There are forum posts all over the net complaining about "weird" happenings with Clickbank.

              Be wary...

Ok a couple of questions since we are on the topic.

    1) How does someone share your download page? What do you mean by that? could you explain it a bit more?

    2) How would you hide your source code?

I also heard about people stealing your affiliate link. How do they do that and how can we stop them?

    Thanks

Well there are a few ways to share the download page. If it is just a simple little download page that is something like.

      http://www.yoursite.com/down-load-my-product.html

      Then anyone can

      1) copy this link and send it to there friend in an email.

      2) Sale the product through their paypal account and send the buyer to your download page to get the product, that they just sold them.

I'm sure there are more. However, if you are using something like DL Gaurd or one of the other secure product download scripts then you should be alright, as far as product security goes.

If that is the case..this is fraud. And I'd be calling more than Clickbank to resolve this. My next call would be to the cops.

Your question about sharing the download page has already been answered.

To answer your other questions, your source code is the HTML code for your web page.

It is possible to view the code for a web page very easily. I will not explain how in an open forum so as not to educate would be thieves. However, there are products that encrypt your source code. I haven't used any so cannot validate how good they are.

There are also products that "cloak" your affiliate links. I actually have a couple of different ones and will start testing them shortly as I am considering adding affiliate marketing to my endeavors online.

      Hope this helps.

CB security is not the issue.

Thieves will buy the product, ignore the rights, register a similar domain, download and copy the sales page, and sell it as their own.

Clickbank has little control over this till it's brought to their attention.

The best way to combat it is to file a DMCA notice with the offenders host, domain registrar, CB, Paypal or whomever is processing the payments.

        Good luck.

You're not the only one. This pay period has been straight zeros. I was having a good little week that was decent, new pay period started on Wednesday and I've had zeros ever since. What sucks is that I have to wait until Monday before they'll respond to an email.

A disgrace. I'll never recoop the sales that will be lost over the 5 days. Yes, I already know that Sunday will be no sales too. Straight zeros after a good week isn't natural.

    Hey brownone,

why would you post 7 different posts in this one thread with one sentence per post? You know that you can post multiple lines at any one time.

    Correct?

See how I just did that. I hit the enter or return on my keyboard and the advanced system of this forum allowed me to continue with my thoughts with out creating another post...

See that. (different line, not a new post) You should try it sometime..

It sounds like you might need to check your webpage traffic logs to see if someone is illegally sharing your download page, make sure that your page is secure and then check if someone is illegally sharing your product. From what you've said I think it may be a someone else's doing not clickbank. Hope this assists!
