ClickBank Scam - The Scammers way to Increase CB Gravity!

Looks like pretty strange Headline , I'm not a Scammer or CB Guru , Just created this thread to show you how the CB Vendors Squeeze your affiliate sales and increase their GRAVITY at the same time.

Three months ago i'm stumbled up on a CB Product in a typical niche in the CB Marketplace and i liked that product and it seemed to be very low competition , So I thought it will convert well and I'm started to promote it through a YouTube video , Later three months means NOW , I got over 600 clicks and 5 sales , I thought it's pretty WOW , But later I'm analysed the first 300 clicks which i got 5 sales , i found that I'm getting a sale in every 50 clicks so , i got 600 clicks and as estimated i should get at least 12 sales but it seems to be a FAULT , So i just created a new hop link and also visited through the sales page and order form to check whether all works , but i found that the affiliate name in the order form is not mine and i felt very frustrated and i checked it one more time through my second browser (Chrome) and I'm saw a ANOTHER Affiliate name below the CB Order form and it differs than the first order page i saw , I'm really confused with it. I Checked the product stats in the CB Marketplace and i found that it increased it's gravity , I Thought it was a Scam and i found that it randomizing its affiliate name every browser to increase gravity .

This is the same STRATEGY used in the IM niche in CB to Get Higher GRAVITY to impress NEWBIE Affiliates.

So , Get out of this type of scam and make sure you check every affiliate link you create at least twice .

Don't be SCAMMED like me

Thanks

It's kinda an old trick but they don't do this on sales referred from affiliates, only direct clicks.

Hi gravity increasing scripts are used by many clickbank vendors but not all

Normally these scripts will not steal affiliate commissions, try to click your affiliate linkfirst (so that cookie is stored in your computer) and then visit the vendor page and click buy to go to the order page.. see if your affiliate ID is in there or not ..

You should be credited for the sale. If its not that yes its a possible scam

  • Hi Praveen, this thing happened to me, but I think two years ago. Now I don't use CB any more, nether for my selling pages.
If you report it to Clickbank, they will fix everything in around 5 days, bringing all back to normal. That sometimes requires the ban of the seller.

    See you soon,
    Alessandro
