      That's BS...

      1. It has nothing to do with this forum.
      2. It is based on which wso will make the most money for the owner of W+

You get WSO through the day through this:

Oh wait, that's also not true.

The WSO of the day is nothing more than the product that the owner of Warrior+ chooses to promote that day. For the millionth time, it holds no prestige outside of that which you attach to Mike, the owner.

    To go in more detail.

It has to do with your statistics as well. If you have a high converting offer people are already buying, our dear W+ owner will jump to the chance and get more people to your offer right a way. He doesn't pick offers randomly, he picks high converting offers.

There are many great WSOs on this forum that never got WSO of the Day and are collecting cyberdust as I type this message. Lot of W+ picks are good but not great.

You do have to provide WSO+ with the backdoor so they can get in and review your product, but at the end of the day sales conversion rate must be taken into consideration.

      Uh, no it's not.

I could declare myself to have "WSO of the Day according to Jill" :p

Just want to clarify that as the way you just wrote that makes it sound like it ties back to this forum again.

Meet me down in the basement at midnight and I'll tell you the secrets of getting picked as the WSO of the Day. Just be sure you bring a duck, a 14 inch piece of bailer twine, one jar of the paste that all the weird kids used to eat in kindergarten and a soil pH tester.

Or if you want to skip all that, just prove to Mike L that you can put a lot of money in his pocket.

LOL - I have just answered this thread but I am intrigued with the basement plan!

BTW not sure if you remember me?

I remember you - you wrote some copy for me about 2 years back and it was AWESOME!

You never showed me your basement then though!

Yep, I sure do remember you -- and that sales letter.

Which, btw, I never showed you my basement because you brought me a chicken instead of a duck.

WSO Of The Day is not an award, it's an affiliate marketing strategy developed by Mike Lantz (very clever, he's a smart guy)...

Originally Posted by kc33 View Post

Develop a sales page that tells people EXACTLY what they want to hear.... sell the dream.

Get friends and affiliates to flood the first page of your WSO with over the top positive comments... "this is AMAZING, I would have sold my first born to get my hands on this"... "you are retarded for selling it at this low price, it should be $1,997"... "when I read through this the first time and watched all 20 videos, I pissed myself because I was so excited"... "my mother was calling down to the basement for me to come up for dinner but I said "**** you", I want to start implementing this right away"...

Offer 75-100% commission and it doesn't hurt to have a OTO.

I actually got WSO of the Day yesterday so I thought I would have a go and answering this.

The WSO Of The Day is picked by Mike Lantz the owner of the WSO+ system.

It has nothing to do with the Warrior forum directly. (as far as I know)

To get WSO of the day you need a converting offer i.e it needs to be selling well.

It does NOT need to offer value BUT if you get WSO of the Day and your product is crap you are going to get a lot of angry people.

When I created the WSO I honestly did not think about getting WSO of the day.

Of course it is awesome and gets you a lot of exposure but the MAIN thing you can do if you want WSO Of The Day is to offer VALUE.

Go above and beyond and make sure the product is RED HOT!

    Hope that helps?

Mainly, it has to be a popular, useful product that kicks butt in sales. And, before you launch using Warrior Plus you need to pre-qualify Mike L. as an affiliate. You do that by checking a little box when setting up W+.

Also, according to the stuff on the Warrior Plus site, the offer should be priced "not too high and not too low." You also need to have excellent customer service in place.

There are lots of things Mike looks at when choosing his WSO of the Day. I can't say the exact criteria he chooses with because I've never spoke with him about it, but this is how I've noticed it works from the past few years of launching on the forum.

    You need:

High conversions - 20-30% typically to have a chance
High Earning Per Customer (EPC) - $2+ is your best bet
OTO in place and converting well
    Testimonials
Launched WSO within last 72 hours

Mike is also a human being with friends... so I would bet being a pal of his helps too :-)

Essentially, mike just has a big list of people who are willing to buy WSOs. So he is looking for the best affiliate offer that day to make him money.

Yes you will note that about 50% of the WSO of the day are from peope mike is good friends with. SO that does not hurt. A bit of networking offline can help you online as they say. No one ever got poor from doing a bit of networking....LEVERAGE baby yeah!

50% huh? Gotta love statistics! (Isn't it true that 83% of statistics are made up on the spot?)

Anyway, actually beings friends with someone doesn't have any bearing on my decisions. Reputation may, but not friendship. I am sure I don't even know 20% of those who have had offers chosen as WSO of the Day.

I actually tend to look for new people with quality offerings, so in that case being a "friend" might be a detriment!

But, networking is good - that is definitely true.

Gotta love all the responses here!

Of course, most everything written here is pure speculation, some is utter crap, and others are on the right track...

(I have an entire knowledgebase article on WarriorPlus dedicated to this. Feel free to read it if you want more details: What is "WSO of the Day" and how can my WSO be featured?)

Aside from that, let me just say that my main criteria is VALUE.

(Of course, value can be in the eye of the beholder, and in that case that is me.)

And yes, oftentimes value translates into dollars. A product that offers great VALUE will likely (but not always) sell well, and have lots of happy customers. But, it also has to my my own personal value tests, and because of this there are certain offers I won't promote that may look good on the surface.

Ultimately, I am a human being like everyone else. There is no winning "formula". And, if I notice people trying to manipulate certain things, I may tweak my criteria a bit.

So, my opinion is: if you want to be "chosen", put out a high-quality product at a fair price and take care of your customers.

What would be YOUR criteria for choosing WSO of the Day?

        True VALUE = Profit, Bill.

I think that could be an important lesson for all Warriors and IMers to understand. Go for the VALUE, and the profit will follow.

When I created WarriorPlus 7 years ago (where has the time gone?), I thought nothing of profit or even how I could monetize anything. My goal was to create something of VALUE for Warriors.

I truly believe my success and that of WarriorPlus comes from that, and you will likely find that those who think the other way will be chasing that profit for a long time to come.

I noticed this on your page:

Each day I personally review the list of eligible WSOs and hand-pick the offers that I think are the best and will be of most interest to WarriorPlus members
I've never been surveyed by you, so I'm not sure you would know what offer would be of most interest to me.

But this would be at the top of my criteria for what offers were picked in general. I'd be asking my list a serious list of questions so they could be confident I had their interests at heart.

I'd likely have different theme days based on this as well. This way, the Amazon lovers know that the Thursday email is for them, and the Wordpress lovers know the Tuesday email is for them, and the Offline marketers know the Friday email is for them, etc....

Gosh, with everyone sticking pre-launch announcements in the WSO's now, it wouldn't be hard to know which direction you might go and you might even find people launching around when their theme day is due.

          Hey Jill,

I do survey my list... every single day.

While your criteria are admirable and interesting, such criteria would not work in practice. When you create a pattern, everyone tries to influence it. And this kind of influence generally only serves the one doing the influencing...

Anyway, I really appreciate your answer. I am always listening...

No offense but there is ZERO way you can know if many/most of them have real value. You would have to actually use them, see if they worked and that takes times.

EXAMPLE: Chris' WSO is on making $100/day in 7 days. If you didnt spend the 7 days and reach the goal, then you don't know if the value (whats advertised) is there or not.

    Perphaps you meant PERCEIVED value.

Whats the difference between VALUE and "perceived value"?

And, I disagree that you would have to follow every step to know if something has value or not. That is what EXPERIENCE is for.

      Mike

PS: With that said, I do have others on my team who look at certain products for me to see what they think, particularly if they are geared toward newbies. That helps me better see through those "eyes", because it can be easy to forget what it is like to be new the longer you are doing something.

I think if you have something original, not rehashed and possible money maker, those could be mitigating factors.

I'm not sure what this thread sets out to achieve. Even if there were a specific formula Mike followed, it still would not guarantee you WSO of the Day. Your only objective when creating a WSO should be to provide your customers with high quality products and impeccable customer service. If you happen to get WSO of the Day then look at it as an added bonus.

You are correct. That's Mike's deal, and is not sanctioned by or part of the forum itself.
if you get WSO of the Day and your product is crap you are going to get a lot of angry people.
      Also correct.

If you get WSOTD, you'd better have your ducks in a row. That includes delivery and support systems. A whole lot of people will start screaming "SCAM!" if they're forced to wait 20 minutes to get their downloads. Plus, you're going to have issues resulting from orders from a lot of inexperienced customers, who will miss things most of us take for granted.

Most of those inexperienced people won't be directly from the WSOTD list. They'll be referrals from affiliates who see the WSOTD announcement and assume that means it's a high-converting offer.

On the flip side, a solid delivery system and a great product can turn a WSOTD into a solid basis for a full-fledged business. Assuming, of course, it's not a one-off product with limited appeal and shelf life...

Everyone thinks that WSO of The Day is such an honor. And it is nothing motr than Mike' method of generating thousands a dsy in commissions. Mike did a hell of a job, and is making a fortune from it.

I think Mike is a great guy. He has built a hell of a marketing machine, and he is to be congratulated for that. But I laugh every time I see a big headline that the offer has been chosen as WSOOTD, like it means something.
