Finding a sub area in the IM niche to build a list for

Trying to find a "target" area in the IM niche to build my list but am not sure which one..

My guess is that you could have something like the following?

General Internet Marketing
Affiliate Marketing
List Building
Article / Copy Writing
Blogging

Is the general internet marketing niche to broad? I mean I do see a lot of people targeting that...

Would love to have some input on this

    You could do some research using the Google Keyword Tool, look for the low competition niches to begin with, but where there are still reasonably high monthly searches.

      I'd do some keyword research and figure out what people are interested in most...and find the best way to tap into that market.

      The main thing is to know how you are going to go about building that list, will you be affiliate marketing yourself, your own product creation, what are you going to offer as value to anyone who comes to your site.

      If you're targeting the IM niche the biggest key is to never forget those people are there to make money and grow their business more, so the best way to decide how you're going to tap into that market is to ask yourself "what's the best way I know how to help"....then go and offer that to your audience.

      Be as specific as possible and you'll find the niche you want to be apart of...
