I know the basic usage of a list, but sadly, that's where it ends. There is some things I can't get my head around.

Maybe you could give a little explanation about one of these if you have nothing better to do on this fine Saturday afternoon:

1 - I understand the whole concept of setting up a transfer so someone automatically gets taken off the prospects list and put on the buyers list.

But how does this happen if you are using affiliate products? Can it even be done? If it was my own product, unless I'm mistaken, I could use tracking to see if they end up on my thank you page.

2 - Does this mean that if I wanted to send the prospects and buyers, some of the same emails, I'd have to write them out twice for each list?

3 - What if I eventually get into split testing. If I have hundreds of buyers going into different lists, then different lists again, I'll end up having 100 lists for each website.

Do I have to write out the same message on hundreds of different lists? Can I eventually funnel them into the same list after the testing is done?

HELP....

i will try and keep this as short as i can

1 answer - it can be done, theres some software and plugins which help you to do this but its not something i bother spending my time doing. Ive done it a couple of times and the way i did it was offered a bonus for buying through your link and then get them to send you there purchase receipt

personally i dont bother doing it anymore because i now create my own products and build my own buyers list, its much more profitable and easier

answer 2 - i dont send my buyers the same stuff because if they get your prospect emails they will then get the same emails when they get on your buyers list if they have been emailed a few times from the prospect list.

Also i like to give my buyers much more juicy and valuable info because they are a customer thats not to say the fre info i give away is still not valuable

3 answer - why you would end up having hundreds of websites is beyond me

you could quite easily have a dozen products out there and even less and do fine, and organizing your lists and emails will be easy

you could even have just 1 or a few products and still do well

it just depends on the amount of marketing and volume of sales you do in any 1 product

but i would not recommend having hundreds thers no need, it would be far to confusing

you always want to segemt your lists, the more targeted the better, it just would never work to funnel everyone to one list, it sounds easier to do but its just not practical

for me i dont just have a list for IM or affiliate marketing, i have 1 for adsense, 1 for list building etc

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

In regards No3, I wasn't talking about hundreds of sites/products.

      Let me try and explain:

So you have a list and you want to split test it with a different opening message, so that's 2 lists.

Now you want to split test the first offer, that's 2 more lists.

Finally you want to test 2 offers or just 1, so 2 more lists.

So it's like a spider diagram with legs going out in all different directions.

Now, If I want to write 1 message to everyone I have to add it into every list.

I don't think this is right BTW, I was just looking for someone to tell me why I'm wrong lol.

ok i see what you mean

to be honest fin i dont drill down the far into my actual messages and which ones get opened the most

i do when it comes to broadcasts but thats another story

split testing your offers is always good move to increase conversions but if i ever do any tests i only do one thing at a time

i kind of know what you mean, but i generally keep things pretty simple and not do too much at the same time otherwise it can get quite confusing
