Content today is written and rewritten.

At what oint will the search engines freeze up because there will not be any original content anymore?

    I don't see how there could ever stop being new content, because the world keeps going on. There will always be new things to write about.

    Not sure why the quality of articles would cause search engines to freeze.

    There's plenty of new content even on an hourly basis! Evenso, I don't think the Search Engines would ever freeze up because there's no new content (which could never happen). It's not how they work.

    They'd just continue to filter results based on what they know and see about pages based on their algorithms.
