Using a shopping cart widget for amazon affiliate
I recently built a website based on a particular niche, where I also review the product at hand and provide some pictures and a link to buy it on Amazon.
However, after digging through the WSO forums I came across a plugin called 'ExtendAzon' where it basically adds a shopping cart as a widget to my website.
My question is does this positively or negatively alter my sales and/or conversions. This is aimed towards anyone who has the plugin, or knows about it, or has generally been in the internet marketing game for a while. You see I am a newbie and do not know if this advertised pitch shopping cart 300% conversion bonus thing will actually deter customers or not.
This is how it works (since I don't want to link you to my site as not to seem spammy) - I have an index for products in that niche. The user clicks on the index and finds a review or post. At the bottom of the post is an "add to cart" feature that adds the item my shopping cart widget at the top of their page. When they are ready, they click the checkout button and it redirects them to amazon.
Now, would the conversions be better if I just provided a link? What do people like more? Are people wary of new sites and shopping carts?
Sorry if this seems redundant I just do not want to lose customers since I just started out and have never made a single cent via the web before.
Thank you kind souls
