Hi How are you Warriors?

I hope you are all great

Today I have lots of questions that I hope you can help me with

First of all I just want to make it clear that I am completely newbie and I am not that good at English case it is my second language so I may ask lots of questions (hopefully not too much) in order to understand and get your ideas... Also, I have a problem that I do not know how to thank you warriors if you answered my questions ... I keep saying thank you thank you instead of saying something useful .. Plus I have problem with writing comment here in warrior forum case I do not like to hart people or lit them think that mean something negative.. So if you have any suggestion and ideas on how to add comment in general or review for products please provide it to me ... (Just wondering if copywriting section can help me in improving my language and help me in posting better comment and review?)

Yes, before I forget.. if you feel my way of writing is not nice or rude (which I really do not mean, it is just because I do not know the language very well) So please feel free to comment if you feel like that, I love to improve my writing tone and know my mistakes

Anyway lets move to my questions list

Q1)

What do most warriors mean when they said "Do not add all your eggs in one basket"?? Do they mean do not add all your site in one host or do they mean do not link all your website to one main website or what exactly?? (I know its long question , but I really want to learn)

Q2)

If I set up a website what is the minimum and the maximum number of the articles that I need to add in order to create a new website? (wither the website is about service or physical product)

Q3)

When can I start to monetizing my website?! Do I need to wait 3 to 4 weeks in order to add links such as amazon link?! or I can add them directly?

Q4)

Do I need to add opt-in box in product review site? and why? (I am asking because I do not have any product and I am confused to see most websites having small box for visitors' names and emails)

Q5)

I read here in the forum, people complaining about losing their list? but I can not understand how they lose their list if they sign up with auto respond-service?!

Q6)

I read also people writing about their expertise of having their website being shut down? but have can a website get shut down? and can they get their website back again? or all their hard work go away in matter of seconds!

Q7)

I always read in the forum, people talking about Google and YouTube Slaps.. But what are they?! and how can I avoid them? Do it relate to ranking or back-linking or contents or what exactly??

Q8)

No just kidding Maybe next time I will ask more questions, enough for now ..

Thanks a lots in advance Warriors ... Your the best!

    Hello Osool

Welcome to the crazy world of online marketing.

For me, your English is very good, and I can understand your questions clearly.

If you want to improve your written English further my best advise is to read a lot.

    Anyway on to your questions:

    1. "Do not add all your eggs in one basket" means simply do not really on only one source whether it be for your income or traffic. For example: When building your websites do not rely on just Google Adsense - but add other income sources too.

If you monetise your websites with multiple income sources - if one of them gets shut down (i.e Adsense) then you will have the other income sources to fall back on.

    2. There is no minimum and maximum amount of articles that you should add to your websites. How much content you add is really down to you. However, I will say the more content the better.

    3. Again - It is down to you when you start monetising your websites. You can wait a little while while you wait for your website to be picked up by search engines before adding monetisation methods.

I always add them straight away - and I have never noticed any difference.

    4. Adding an opt in box to a product review website is a great idea - even if you don't have your own products. You can collect email address' from your website visitors and send them useful information on the topic of your website.

You can also promote other people's products to your list as an affiliate to earn comissions.

    5. I don't know what you mean about people losing their list. If you sign up with a good autoresponder program like Awebar, and send out good emails and abide by the rules - you should have no problem with losing your list.

    6. People can get their website shut down if they are doing something illegal or they don't pay their webhost on time. However, if you are not doing this then you shouldn't have any problems

    7. A "Google Slap" usually means that someones website gets deindexed from the search results or their rankings drop. This can happen for a number of reasons including using black hat methods to promote their website.

Again if you play by Google's rules and create natural backlinks to your website - It shouldn't be a problem.

Having said that - Sometimes it appears Google has a mind of it's own :-).

    Hope this helps a bit.

For me, your English is very good, and I can understand your questions clearly. I am happy to know that, I thought my English is horrible So I can start writing my own report after being expert..hopfulling in near future

If you want to improve your written English further my best advise is to read a lot. I spend most of my time here in the forum reading warriors' posts as most warriors, I do not know if it good idea or not?!

      Anyway on to your questions:

      1. "Do not add all your eggs in one basket" means simply do not really on only one source whether it be for your income or traffic. For example: When building your websites do not rely on just Google Adsense - but add other income sources too.New piece of information, I will save it in my note pad, so I can add more than one affiliate link into my future website.. great to know that!

If you monetise your websites with multiple income sources - if one of them gets shut down (i.e Adsense) then you will have the other income sources to fall back on.Good piece of advice! loading it to my note pad

      2. There is no minimum and maximum amount of articles that you should add to your websites. How much content you add is really down to you. However, I will say the more content the better.I noticed that most marketer using spin article to create article, is it good to follow their path or is it better to create my own article (but the problem will be I will spend lots of time writing articles and correcting them! is thing going to affect on the future visitors number if they did not find new articles the next day they visit my future website?! )

      3. Again - It is down to you when you start monetising your websites. You can wait a little while while you wait for your website to be picked up by search engines before adding monetisation methods. I was asking because I read a thread about blogspot saying that they need to wait 3-4 week to start monetizing their blogspot, so I was wondering if it is same for WP blog

I always add them straight away - and I have never noticed any difference. So, I do not need to worry to much about this step

      4. Adding an opt in box to a product review website is a great idea - even if you don't have your own products. You can collect email address' from your website visitors and send them useful information on the topic of your website. You can also promote other people's products to your list as an affiliate to earn commissions. I understand now why they have them

      5. I don't know what you mean about people losing their list. I do not know as well I need to find out what they mean by that If you sign up with a good autoresponder program like Awebar, and send out good emails and abide by the rules - you should have no problem with losing your list. That is what I was thing about how can they lose list if they sign up with these services!

      6. People can get their website shut down if they are doing something illegal or they don't pay their webhost on time. However, if you are not doing this then you shouldn't have any problemswhat about if I payed late is my website going to lose all the contents?!

      7. A "Google Slap" usually means that someones website gets deindexed from the search results or their rankings drop. This can happen for a number of reasons including using black hat methods to promote their website.

Again if you play by Google's rules and create natural backlinks to your website - It shouldn't be a problem. Good to know that : )

Having said that - Sometimes it appears Google has a mind of it's own : ). ,so I need to be more careful.. wish I can have magic ball to know what is spinning in there head

Hope this helps a bit. Yes, it was very helpful .. Thanks for taking time to answer my questions : )

Maybe it's fine if you put your eggs in the "right" basket.

as for Q1, all you mentioned is right and a lot more. That's a principle you should keep, not one specific meaning. Don't put all your sites on the same host, on the same adsense account etc, don't count on one traffic or profit stream and so on and so on

Things like the examples you mentioned, and many others. It's a bit of a "multi-purpose idiom".

I'm trying to diversify so that I don't sell only ClickBank products, because if ClickBank disappears tomorrow, it would be a nuisance to me.

I divide my websites between 4/5 different hosts, for the same reason.

To me, it's about "avoiding dependence on one business/company" for my future income.

The minimum number is 0 (countless websites have no articles). There's no maximum.

    Unhelpful, but true.

I'm an article marketer, and I start off with 3 or 4, and then gradually add about 3 per month to each niche site.

You can have them there right at the start. I do. But note that affiliate links on websites don't sell many products. The list, and the relationships built with subscribers, and the trust and respect and credibility, and the strength of your recommendations to people who have opted in, are what make affiliate sales.

This post happens to specify "ClickBank" but it's actually true for affiliate sales in general, if it helps: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5210243

Yes, if you want to earn anything worth talking about from the site. For the reason explained above and in the post linked to.

They've (almost always) signed up with free autoresponder services. Or they've broken the terms of service. This is explained in more detail in these posts ...

Sometimes, yes. It's happened to many Warriors, though it's easily avoidable. Most of those people are talking about free "websites" at places like "Squidoo", "Blogger", "HubPages" and so on - places with very onerous and ever-changing terms of service and idiosyncratic and inconsistent interpretations of them. People using such services often talk of "my website" but it isn't really theirs. A "normal marketer", using a "normal host", who owns and controls his/her own site won't encounter these problems. But it's still essential to "back up" your sites (i.e. keep a spare copy) to avoid accidents/hacking disasters, etc.

Taking "Squidoo" and "Blogger" as examples, these posts/threads explain more (but it's a very easily avoidable problem!) ...
