        Just show him this thread then you're off the hook, well, maybe not now since I said that. I wouldn't know where to begin with that site dang it's got a lot of stuff. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Sorry I'm no help.

    The site is butt ugly for an art site... BUT... it scores very well in marketing effectiveness. There is a bit of room for improvement.

    He has 5,490 pages indexed by Google... PR 4... 30 del.icio.us bookmarks.

    This site is due to expire in 5 months... have him buy 10 more years

    Permanent Redirect Not Found: Search engines may think Art and Drafting Supplies.Foamboard and Drafting Tables and artsupply.com are two different sites.

    Best advice would be... pass this info on to him so "his people" can fix the htaccess issue and keep your hands off of it. He is doing just fine.

    I'm a little confused. This isn't your uncles store is it? You say he just started the website. This site has been around since for a lot longer than a few months. This business has been around since 1995 and joined the BBB in 07 so this isn't a new site.

    As for the site - its a bit of an archaic design. There are certainly better shopping cart systems out there that would display the product in a more user friendly manner as well as give you better SEO quality.
    Its not horrible but its not great either.
    Users shouldn't have to click anymore than 2-3 times to place a product in their shopping cart.

    The challenge with shopping carts is creating search engine and people friendly pages especially when you have thousands of products to deal with.

    If this really is your uncles website then I would suggest he have his pages / keywords analyzed first to see where he truly is in the search engines. That will give him some baseline data to determine where he should go from there.
