Why would you release a WSO that.........

Going to keep this short...maybe.

Okay so I am releasing my first WSO and as you can tell I have a low post count. Now this is primarly aimed at noobies. Saying that we are all noobies.

When thinking of releasing a WSO just remember it doesn't have to be on how to make money. You can release a good source of information like PLR or theme plugins to make your and customers lives easier.

Write something on keywords for example The hottest keywords for April 2012 or some good backlinking methods.

WSO's don't ALL have to "How to make $1000 in 1 day"

but you can release products that help people with backlinking, seo, WP, keyword research and with the release offer exclusive membership into a private forum where like minded people can share their thoughts and ideas.

    Nope.

    Where I am going is that most products that teach the mechanics of success fail miserably in the WSO sub forum.

    While products of that nature may do well outside the forum, they most always fail in the WSO section.

      I wouldn't say they fail, unless you're expecting to sell thousands of copies. As long as you make a profit, I don't consider that a failure. I'd rather sell fewer copies and be able to hold my head up, knowing that I haven't misled anyone or set them up to fall like most of the products that promise quick and easy riches.

        Okay, if you are happy selling fewer than 100 copies, then the mechanics of success do well by this standard. :p

    The reason why that particular type of WSO's is the most popular is of one simple reason - it works. People come to this site to learn how to make money. A WSO that promises set and forget auto pilot income will catch their attention.
