Basic clickbank question

Trying to get into clickbank, and the one thing I really don't understand is, how do you promote someone else's product?

Let's say there is a popular product on clickbank. Do I make my own squeeze page to sell it? That makes sense, but I just don't understand how you are supposed to market the product if it's not yours. Can you use official images/videos etc?

Can anyone PM me or link me to a clickbank site they have made? I will not compete in your area - I just want to see an example of an affiliate site.

Basically you need to let people know about the product by either making an advertisement, website, video, etc about the product then get that media to the top of the search engines. Post your affiliate link so when potential customers go to buy the product, you get credit for referring them. Read around on clickbank and here on the warrior forum to get a better understanding on what to and how to do it.

To get success at click bank i suggest to create E page and put products' Url (HOBO links) and ask visitors to join via your hobo links. Create image videos of product. Usually mobile, camera products have good selling record.

      Thanks

I understand how it technically works but I just want to see a third party affiliate page - I have never been able to find one.

I don't care what market you are in, I just want to see it.

For instance, if you are selling a top selling health infoproduct like burn the fat, feed the muscle - can you use his squeeze materials on your page, can you refer to it as your product... can you make claims/gaurentees about it etc?

I guess it makes more sense to me when you send out an affiliate email, but the website sales is where i'm unclear. Does anyone know of any examples?

I guess my ultimate question is: are you basically doing what they do, except the payment link at the bottom goes to your affiliate link, not their official product link?

        No to all those.

Basically you need to presell the product ideally with your own personal review which tempts the visitor to click through to the sales page.

        .

          .

          Spot On.

Buy the product and make sure it is one you are happy to put your name to.

Create an honest review of the product. Add useful and relevant informational articles relating to the subject, Have an opt-in box and give away a related report or ebook for free in exchange for an email address. Build a list.

Don't plaster your site with dozens of out bound affiliate links. Most vendors have affiliate/jv pages with image and text swipes but use these sensibly and sparingly.

In fact the less it looks like the vendor site the better.

From a Google perspective they do not like thin affiliate sites so your site must add "considerable" benefits over going directly the vendor site.

There are so many marketing methods, try to use just one and see if that works... I mean free traffic, paid traffic, article marketing, video marketing, PPC, forum marketing... just be honest about what you promote. Try it first and then promote.

Hi Chris and welcome to the WF.

Everyone has been spot on with what they are telling you. If you are just starting out you need to focus on just ONE model and affiliate marketing is a great one to start out with if you have no products of your own.

List building is key.......DONT miss this out cuz you will regret it later down the line. It's good to have some manageable short term goals but you gotta think long term too and your list is key to a regular sustainable income online.

    I would recommend the following.......

A sqeeze page with a good quality free gift that is relevant to your clickbank offer to get those opt in's coming and building your list.

Once the prospect has opted in, I cant recommend enough that you also have a OTO or "one time offer" straight after that. I missed this bit out for ages and missed out on a ton of sales as a result.

Again the OTO needs to complement your free gift and clickbank offer. Then I usually send them to a "Thankyou" page where they can download their free gift and I include 2 or 3 links to relevant CB offers that I feel are appropriate to them.

Give good quality, build that list, but do it all ultimately thinking of the long term and having the ethos of how YOU would want to be treated as a customer.

It's hard NOT to think about the money, but trust me......treat people right, provide value and the money WILL come and more importantly KEEP coming.

If all you think of is the short term road to cash, that's all it will ever be......short term, and not much cash either!

    Cheers,

    Andy Benson

    Chris,

You need to market the product as a private vendor, with no affiliation to the actual producers and sellers of the product. By this, I mean you cannot offer any guarantees, you cannot refer to it as your product, and you cannot use images of the product that do not belong to you, without the permission of the owner of the product.

Ideally, as others have mentioned, reviewing the product would be a good idea, or creating an authority website related to the niche of the product, offering something for free, and then building a list through a squeeze page; and then finally marketing it to that list.

Since potential buyers will not be paying for the product on your page and obtaining it from your page/you, you cannot act as the producer or refer it to your product. That is why it is best to only promote products that you have actually used.

    I hope this helps.

Success as a Clickbank affiliate really depends on effective preselling, and/or building a relationship with your site visitors and subscribers. If you just repeat what is already on the main sales page, you will not get many sales. This is why the review format is so effective - if you give a genuine review of the product you are trying to promote, including bad points as well as good, you are much more likely to gain the trust of your visitors and go on to make sales.

      +1!!!

Completely agree. It would be worth googling the name of the product followed by the word review or bonus and studying how other affiliates are promoting that product. Ask yourself or a family member, would they buy the product from the affiliate page you have found? Work out what the affiliate seems to be doing well and what they seem to be doing poorly, then just do it better (without copying)!!!

Create a squeeze page that offers something for free to the visitors and then when they do the double opt-in, each week send them a new cb offer.

The best way to promote products as an affiliate is Building Review Sites/Niche Sites.

find buyer keywords of that product and target your review sites to those keywords..

but you should remember that if you promote a featured product then you will have more competition than a normal product..

always collect leads from your review sites so you can use them later for a upcoming product launch in that niche and double your money..

you can contact me if you need any help in setting your clickbank review sites.. i'm happy to help

Our approach has been to enter niche markets (4 and counting) with an aim to dominate that niche (address the most pressing needs and desires) within those niches.

We always hit the market with a combinaton of blogging, articles, social networking and sometimes with press releases, paid ads, etc...

The idea is to bring in lots of relevant traffic which we then typically do 1 of 2 things...directly promote one lead product with a squeeze campaign or give away an incentive to build a list and market to them in the future on the back-end.

We typically go for the list building approach and then market multiple products to them in context over time..that way you get to promote multiple products to meet multiple needs in multiple ways.

Clickbank is a great resource to sell affiliate products. You may want to cloak your affiliate link and build an email list of subscribers and send them the link, but please make sure you have checked out the product you will be advising to your subscribers to buy and make sure it a high quality product as you want to put your subscibers interests ahead of your own.As regards other promotions you could do paid PPC or offline adverts which is what i do.
Good luck. Clickbank have a great help resource on there website for set up.

Clickbank has a very informative affiliate training section on how to succeed marketing other people's products. Click on the training link to access it. There are a few basic things you must do to be a success.

    1. Buy the product and make sure it is a high quality one.

    2. Write an honest full review of the product. Add useful and relevant details about the product. Post this review on your blog.

    3. Insert an opt-in box on the review page and give away a related report or ebook for free in exchange for an email address. Build a list.

    4. Send emails about the products that you reviewed to market to those who opt-in to your list.
