Digital product VS Physical Product, who is the KING!?

Hi all,

Digital product seems to have more 'refund' rate than physical product.

Is this true?
And, why?

Feel free to share your thought!

Cheers,
Jude

Digital products hands down. Why? 1-Low overhead 2- High ROI.
Refunds? Not really just have something solid in place. (Over deliver).

They are both good, each one with advantages and disadvantages, look at the business models you can get into, make a comparison between the two and see what fits you better.

For me, it's intangible goods (digital products), instant delivery, no warehouse, no nothing

Medium doesn't matter. What matter is what the product is and how much volume you can do on it!

Why not sell both? Physical products require work,
but personally, I have been able to get creative.

I have one product where I transformed PLR to
physical product and I have zero competition. While
everyone else seems to be selling the same product
for $97, I sell it for $400 by adding DVDs, print
books, audio CDs etc. And I also add more product
to that because license allows me.

    And that's just one product.

I include a sales letter to upsell on the back of the
physical product for higher ticket items.

Merely changing digital content to physical may not
add "Thud" factor, but I would like to get creative
with packaging and labeling... which is easy to do
digitally, but more time consuming with physical
stuff so it effectively lessons competition.

Of course, manufacturing cost for the physical products
can add up too. That $400 product I reference to costs
me $80 just to produce it. I can't cost-effectively sell it for
$97 even if I wanted to.

Then the light version can be $197 downsell digital
version if you say no to the offer.

      Takuya have a point.

But when come to shipping then I think this will be the main problem.
Simply because, your produc is selling to worldwide so it means you must be able to deliver your physical product to them regardless where they are.

So how do solve this problem when buyer at very remote place or country prohibited this physical items?

Yeah I agree ! Since it takes work to complete a physical product, after completing it, sell it as a digital product too ( one month later) .

Then , you can claim that the physical product you sold was so good it was out of stock and that under popular demand , you are selling it again as a digital product so the customers can save posting trouble and save on the posting cost !

Then you just have to sell the digital version cheaper and people will be buying from you like crazy.

This is something of a sales gimmick I learned from a workshop that cost tons ! I hope it helps ! Al the best !

By the way, you should take a look at this free book and audio the workshop is offering ! It is real informative and best of all I got it for free !

Click here for free book and audio!

Signing off ! Again good luck !

Digital products has a greater refund rate than physical products because it is easier to refund digital products thanks to clickbank's "one click refund push button" and also because physical products appear to be more valuable (something that you can hold) and more meaningful than digital products.

They're both good; it really depends who you ask but since you're asking in a IM forum, I bet most people will pick digital products - that's my pick too.

The downside to digital products is the higher refund rate (due to the ease of the process), piracy, etc. but too much upside including the low cost to produce, the ease of testing... I can go on and on - digitial products in my book!

DIGITAL - all the way because of the reasons already stated...
No Stock, no shipping and sometimes no Outlay whatsoever!
