Hi fellow warriors,
First of all sorry for the rude title.
I 'm new here.
But while scrolling across the threads I found some threads by newbies in which some were claiming that they got rich in one day while others wrote that they got on first page of google in a day.
I accept not all the post are like these,this forum also contain some quality posts.
Why these post still exists in the forum?
Why didn't moderators remove the?

    Exactly how rich is rich ? If you see any threads that you feel are in need of being reported just report them

    Sure, some posts might have some crazy claims in them -- you kind of have to take some stuff with a grain of salt, but just as a side note, getting to page 1 of Google in a day is not as absurd as you might think.

    I've done that lots of times -- it all depends on what keywords you target, how optimized your site is, etc..

    theres lots of fluff about thats for sure, but also lots of good stuff you just have to find it

    best thing to do is make sure your BS Detector is turned up fully and you will have no problems

    I agree that such posts hurt the quality of the forums.

    I think whenever someone makes an extraordinary claim like that, the mods should require them to prove it before letting it stay up (not by some stupid screenshot of supposed earnings)

    Drawing the line would be tricky and implementing could be time consuming...
    "You can't make a thread claiming you made X amount of money in (time period) unless you prove it." Hmmm.

    #1 - This is a forum, not a blog, so your thread title may be full of something, too

    #2 - Some people make $20 and call themselves rich. Others are making stuff up as they go. You have to expect a certain amount of that on a forum of this size that lets anyone join. You have every right to post in the threads and call BS, providing you do it in a respectful manner.

    #3 - People get on the first page of Google inside a day all the time. Heck, I can do that. The trick is staying there after Google's love of fresh content wears off.

    #4 - These posts still exist in the forum because they're not breaking any rules. It doesn't say "only post if you know what you are talking about". Would it be better to do so? Sure. But people like that wash out rather quickly so don't let it bite your butt.

    #5 - The moderators don't remove posts that are not breaking the rules. Not to mention, they are certainly not reading all the threads. I'm not even sure that's humanly possible even if you sat here all day.

    #6 - I acknowledge your frustration and would have to say that we've all probably felt it at some point. But to come in and say the site is full of BS and call everyone out is probably not the best way to introduce yourself to a new community.

          No, you're not. If you were, you wouldn't have used it.
          Why these post still exists in the forum?
          Why didn't moderators remove the?
          If they break the rules and are reported, we'll remove them.

          We cannot read every thread in every section. Not possible. But the group can, collectively, which is why we have a report-driven system like this.

          Another issue to consider is that each of the moderators has their own area of specialty as far as their personal businesses. I, for example, can be very helpful in discussions about writing and some related fields. I avoid expressing many opinions on SEO because I don't know enough about it to speak with any authority. So, if I see a discussion about SEO, I'm not qualified to say if it's accurate or not.

          Might be completely stupid and I wouldn't know.

          Given that constraint, should we all run around and try to judge the accuracy of various claims in discussions? Probably not a good idea, especially since there are so many people here who do know these things and can openly contradict stupid comments.

          By the way, when you talk about the place being full of ****, do you include yourself? I mean, your profile says you're in New York, but you're not even on the same continent. Unless they've somehow managed to move Manhattan...

    If they were to remove ridiculous posts, they should remove this one as well, in my opinion.

    At the end of the day, as long as you stay within the rules, you have quite a lot of freedom of speech on this "blog." People can post what they want, and they can also read what they want.

    There are always going to be threads that seem stupid to you, but they might not be to others, so just do yourself and everyone else a favor and ignore them!

    The moderators aren't going to delete posts based on quality - that would require a dozen people working full time. Plus, one man's quality is another man's lack of, yes?
