hi! i just wanted to know if paraphrasing a video sales letter your competitor has and then making one similar to it is legal?

I know that copying word for word is illegal, but what about just lifting the ideas from the salesvideo?

    Ethical... Definitely not.

    Why not do the research to understand your target market and use that info to make a better sales video/letter?

    There are too many regurgitated ideas being funneled to us over and over, if you have a strong product in a competitive niche, why not just make it shine?

    Dude, it is legal. But why don't you just use the content and recreate the sequence, add in new content and practically turn it into a new salesletter? Wouldn't that be better?

    There are people, who with the right team, would be able to sue you, if they felt you have blatantly taken their copyrighted material and used it for personal gain in your own business, without their consent.

    Supposedly, paraphrasing can be done if the original sources are cited adequately.
