" What is truth in this Internet Marketing World?"

"Do NOT enter into the realm of the super saturated INTERNET MARKETING NICHES, especially for the newer entrepreneurial folks!"

"Go with sub-niches within the Health/Fitness or maybe the Relationship arena, instead."

I read stuff like this all the time, even going back three, four, five years and beyond.

Always it is the, too competitive, over bloated, too many players, overwhelming, hard to make inroads or a decent buck in the field of promoting Internet Marketing niches of all kinds.
Or so it seems.

Yes there are some who say, "come on in, the waters warm, lots of room!"
And this is what I like to believe.

There are many categories that could be listed under the Internet Marketing Kingdom.
There must be hope within.

What are your opinions? Is there any lucrative, sub-niches within the Making Money online through Internet Marketing left worth pursuing or is the " filled to the brim" propaganda, just that?

thank-you,

Bill E

I'd say there is plenty of room in the Internet Marketing niche for people who actually know what they are doing. The "saturation" is nothing more than a constant changing of the guard among newbies who think that the IM/MMO niche is the only one on the entire internet.

The IM world is so vast, its not funny.

So many niches, so many schemes, so many scams, so many gurus, one can get information overload easily. Its not going anywhere soon, it will just evolved. Now IM is more social. The social networks are whats in now. A few years ago Blogs were "IT" now Facebook can be considered the third largest country in the world after China and India.

The question is, are you ready for the Internet Market world?

Put it in another way... a lot of competitions is due to a lot of opportunities. Otherwise, beginner won't be attracted if there is no buyer.

And again, there are a lot of internet gurus that are constantly giving free seminars/webinars or other form of "education" to get more newbies to join by telling newbies how good is this industry. And newbies are the perfect buyers I was one and I am still buying from them.

Good sense answers, every one. Thanks.
Vast indeed, competitive by it's very nature, and ever changing.

IM is marketing any and every thing on the net. This is something I tend to forget. Get stuck in the "niche syndrome" by times.

I will be using the term 'Internet Marketing Tools' niche in my oral and written vocabulary more often to differentiate and set apart from the broader IM term.

I would say there is so much room for more in the IM niche.
Especially with forums such as WF and others appearing everyday. People are coming online daily looking for ways to make money online and how to do it.
I also started off in another niche and had little success. I have found I have made the majority of my money and continue to do so on autopilot selling to marketers regarding internet marketing topics or products.

Yes, agreed on those points. I am developing a more concise title for the niches I want to target.
The Marketer's Internet Marketing Tools, Aids and Methods Niches.
Man, that is way too wordy. But more pointed than Make Money Online.

I don't think people say to stay away from the IM niche because it's too saturated.

There are other reasons instead- for example, the fact that many times the IM crowd will be harder to sell to. They know what's coming, so they may build up a bit of a resistance.

Meanwhile, the old lady looking to find out more about gardening probably isn't expecting you to hit her up for that fat $$$ for a book on "How to Grow Mad Roses, Yo"

....no I don't know why I went granny-ghetto there, but it's there and I can't hit the delete button

      This - exactly.

I don't believe in "the saturation argument" for a moment.

But it's a "niche" (actually it's not a "niche" at all - it's a market, and a huge one!) I'm not involved in myself, as an affiliate, for a whole variety of other reasons. And I regard it as simply factual that starting out in that market is probably the single commonest mistake that beginning marketers can make, and really stacking the deck against themselves, and a huge cause of disillusionment and failure. But none of that has anything to do with so-called "saturation" at all.

Solid product sells well, all others are bandwidth consuming.

  • The secret that I learned is that 99.99% of people never ever take action so it's never ever saturated. The more "saturated" the better because it's a good market. Most people think this is not true.

Pulling made up stats isn't doing much to add truth to the IM world...

I hear it's easy to get a #1 listing for 'making money online' with Google, just post up an empty page on a new blog

You know, on the whole 'saturated' thing, there isn't a stock answer. Exactly what niche are we talking about, exactly what is your experience level and exactly how are you intending to gain a foothold in this niche?
Then there are sub-level questions of those, including how much time do you intend to work, how much money do you have to spend etc.

I've been active in industries competing with Monster and Careerbuilder and it was a blast, made a good $ in a short space of time. Then I've struggled with other stuff which appears less competitive on the surface, because I haven't given it the requisite amount of attention and effort.

It's all doable, somebody is doing it so it must be

let me give you an example:

the higher the competition, the higher the profit can be made per click.
the lower the competition, then less money you can make per click.

if you have a new domain for weight loss niche and you want to fight for a keyword that have 8000 exact searches per month, my advice is just forget it. because the keyword is so profitable, therefore all the old player already competing each other for the keyword with their PR5 domain + powerful seo technique.

from the image above, i use the keyword "weight loss" and limit the search to only show result with less then 450 searches, now you can see a lot of longtail keyword that is not getting much traffic, but still have the high CPC.

you can research the keyword to make sure it is in low competition, then write an article to rank for the keyword. now you will ask: "is it worth it to seo for a keyword that have only 350 searches a month?"

ok, if you have spend $3 to write the article, and later the article bring in $0.50 per click and about $3 a month, do you think it is a good investment?

if you have 20 of these articles, then it will become a good income website.

    Hope this help
