Been fighting within myself as to whether I should start a blog to review Affiliate products (click bank & amazon) products or to just blog about it? Would need some expert advice!

You don't need to worry too much about that. It's simple, create a blog and write reviews, feature articles, and information tidbits related to the product you're affiliated with. Creating pure reviews will only make your blog look like a sales page, and a lot of probable customers are allergic to too much sales talk. A blog with more diverse content will pay off in the long run compared to a purely product reviews-oriented one.

Write about things that people who need that product would need, then you can review it. Ie. For a fat loss product, you could write some articles on dieting or healthy chicken recipes etc. That way when they go to your blog, they would see the information you gave them on chicken recipes and be more inclined to purchase if they built that initial relationship with you.

How about starting with 2 niches/sites and test which one works best?

Blogs or reviews will work, just make sure the content you provide is useful for your viewers. Talk about the pros and cons of whatever it is that you are writing about, and don't make it too one sided.

If they are setup rightfully and the content is useful for your readers then the both are ok.

I do both and both are very effective. One thing I didn't see mentioned is that you need to stick with something you know.

Most IMers fail because they pick a subject that's profitable even though they know nothing about it. I saw someone mention weight loss. That's all well and good as long as you know something about it.

Don't focus on a topic for the money only. Make sure you know the market.

A review site is a website on which reviews can be posted about people, businesses, products, or services. These sites may use Web 2.0 techniques to gather reviews from site users or may employ professional writers to author reviews on the topic of concern for the site.

The term 'blog' is a shortened form of 'weblog'. Blogs can be similar to an online journal and may be written about any topic you choose. You can start your own at Blogger, Livejournal, Wordpress or any other of the many free blogging websites available on the Internet.
Its up to you now...If I were you I would do them both.
