So here's my plan.....

.....I'm working to shoot a music video for an artist I manage. I will add the track to itunes and other digital music stores prior to releasing the video. Once the video drops I will get it on the blogs with whom we have a relationship. I will post in a non spammy way on the list of forums that we think are relative. I will use all of the other sites such as digg, pinterest, reddit, pingler, facebook, twitter. I will purchase youtube views, likes, and subscriptions(still trying to figure out how to recognize the real from the fake). I will also use tubetoolbox. I'm thinking about facebook ads but know very little about that.

The video description will include a link to the itunes page to purchase the track. It will also have a link to the our main web page where other tracks can be sampled, you can signup for the newsletter, and merchandise can be purchased.

After this runs it's course we will rinse, wash and repeat with another track.

What do yall think?

If your using Youtube you should make out a plan of who you are trying to target with your music videos... What demographic etc. Make a list of what bands those people already like and do some research on their videos...

You'll get a lot of information from this that you can use for your own use...like what Tags to copy, what keywords to go after etc.

Buying views/subsribers only contributes to your overall SEO i.e. it will help your video ranking higher and faster for whatever keywords your targeted. They won't translate into real site views/customers of the band...Just bear that in mind

I think social media like Facebook and Twitter will get you some of the best results.

People would like to "hang out" with their favorite artists, and that would be the easiest way for them to do that.

Definitely true. I don't know a lot about this industry from the inside, but from what Ive been reading and seeing social media is huge when it comes to music stars.

I'm only going to use the purchased views to help put the video in a position to get more real views. We will be using the facebook fanpage to interact with the fans. Thanks for the keywords tidbit. I will use that information to our advantage.

LOL, I think this will be your downfall.

If the song is good it will get it's own views and likes.

Don't buy fake YouTube views. You risk having your account shut down by YouTube.

I keep getting mixed responses from people on buying youtube views. Some say do it naturally and others say you need buy the views to get your video to a place where it gets lots of real views. I have been following a few similar artist and there's really no way some of these guys are getting hundreds of thousands of views naturally. I watched an artist go from unknown to a household name through youtube and I'm almost sure he paid for his initial views. He doesn't need to anymore but I know there's no way his videos would've been getting a million views two years back. I want views that will be natural and from real people. I'm doing my homework on who provides real natural views at a steady rate. I've heard this common practice for record labels when they're pushing a new artist.
