Why warriors are befuzzling me?

Few days ago I posted a question. It was like "If I create a site with latest news, updates, good articles about football(soccer) instead of product reviews site will it work as a affiliate site" Most warriors answered it would work, but one of my friends suggested me creating product reviews site instead of news. He said it would be a blunder if I create a news site.

I think your friend is misguiding you. You should ask him why he's lying to you and trying to make you go the wrong direction

Really though, dont you think saying warriors are MISGUIDING you is a bit harsh? That's like saying people are purposely lying to you and trying to make you do the wrong thing.

If you want to do a product review site, go for it - but I'd probably go with the news thing myself for that particular niche

I don't completely agree with the first portion of what you've said, his friend may not be misguiding him but rather guiding towards what has worked for him in the past. Everyone is different and I don't think you can go wrong with either type.

I agree with eljeffe77, it's a bit harsh to say they are misguiding you! Do whatever you think is easier, whichever you think you would be more passionate about. Why not even review products on your news site?

Both type of sites work great... in different ways. No one is misguiding you. They all have different experiences though.

Unless you are paying for advice from someone proven to be successful in what you are asking...you need to take all advice with a grain of salt. You've got people posting who are super sucessful, newbies, and everything in between. So be careful what you choose to listen to, even if many people are agreeing. It should be a starting off point. But you still need to dig deep in researching something before drawing conclusions. Unless you could find someone posting who did exactly what you are trying to do, nothing is hard and fast.

No one was misguiding you. They were giving you free, helpful advice. When asking a question on this forum you're asking for peoples opinions and that's what you got

Both sites have the potential to be successful.

You'll never know which one will be more successful until you try both...

So why not create two websites? One of each?

If I liked soccer or football or any sports for that matter, I would be attracted to a news site rather than a product review site. Since I'm not a sports fan, I wouldn't look for either ... just so i don't misguide you.

Start easy: work on a product review site until you make bank.

A news site seems like it would be better with more experience.

I think you should create a review site with a blog attached. You can lure football fans to your blog content (news, updates, articles etc.) and cross promote.

But be careful, I might be misguiding you.

A lot depends on what segment of the soccer world you are aiming at.

      > Soccer players looking for an edge in their game might respond better to a review site which told them about new equipment, shoes, etc.

      > Soccer fans might respond better to a news site that also offered things like team jerseys, videos, etc. along with the chance to say their piece about their favorite team, players, etc.

      > The gamblers want information that will give them an edge in wagering. They might respond to a combo site that gave them the latest news about teams and players, along with offers for "insider guides", betting services, and so on.

Just saying a "site about soccer" doesn't help people to guide you to where you want to go. It's like walking up to someone and and saying "can you tell me how to get there" without telling them what "there" is.

As plain as I can make it - either approach could work for you if properly targeted, implemented and promoted.

Why would anyone read your news or reviews?

Are you an expert in the field? Are you really breaking news stories?

Your reach may be exceeding your grasp.

Yeah, instead of learning as you go and slowly building up your level of expertise by immersing yourself in the niche and learning more about it each day, just wait until you automatically become and expert. Then you can start a site.

    Dude,
we understand you are confused, but we are all warriors here(always liked how it sound), and saying warriors are misguiding you is quite harsh!

The news site you create would attract tons of advertisement if done well and later on you can even change it to a member's only website and earn membership fees from there. It can work, a lot of warriors here probably tried or is using the same method too. So, it is proven , the rest is up to you to believe or not to.

Hope I helped, good luck !

I think you should take away from this, something you can use. You asked a question
more than once and got different answers through the process. Both concepts work, and
what is more important to remember is there are many ways to do something on the
internet and make it work. Good luck with your project.
