Getting Quality Pictures for Info Products

I need something more than the "free to use" images off Google Image Search. EBooks always have professional pictures of attractive people smiling on the squeeze page. This really adds a human dimension when you're trying to sell so I need pictures like these. Where do marketers get these? I imagine they're expensive?

  • Yeah you have to buy those. The most popular site to get them from is istockphoto.com I think.

  • I get mine from Royalty-Free Stock Photos, Illustrations & Vector Art | Depositphotos® and I only pay about 50 cents for the images I use on my ebook covers or in blog posts.

  • I use sxc.hu to get free images and sometimes get from istockphoto.com for premium images.

  • I used Images - Clip Art, Photos, Sounds, & Animations - Office.com and sxc.hu. If can't find any, you can go to istockphoto.com. You do have to pay some fee, but the images are good.

  • There are, of course, free stock photo sites such as sxc.hu, as Ross mentions above. I've found most of the stuff on these sites to be of a much lower standard than the paid ones, however, and somehow many don't seem as suitable for the sort of Photoshop manipulation (cutting, layering, blending, etc) they'd normally be subjected to when used as a component of bespoke graphics.

By all means take a look, but I think you'll have a hard time finding many free images of a high enough calibre to be fit for the purpose you have in mind; you'll probably need to drop a few nickels for the good stuff.

  • Bigstock is popular.
  • You must buy stock images they there are lot of sites which are selling it as most of URL's given by above User's i will not increase this count just advice you to search on google "Buy Stock Photos" or "Buy Stock Images".. Good Luck

  • For free images, sxc.hu is a good resource. Shutterstock.com and 123rf.com are among the sites that sell royalty-free stock photos and vector illustrations.
  • You could try Pinterest also...

Just type in the search box "Free Pictures", you will get many beautiful pics which are free to use
  • I get a ton of images from: Stock Photos and Royalty Free Image Subscription from 123RF Stock Photography they are $1 a piece...

The right search on google will definitely give you what you need both paid and free ones given tht you type in the right keywords.
  • You can use something like Royalty free images where you buy each image for $1 or more. Then Use something like Cover Action Pro to get it looking awesome!

    • I'm in the process of writing an ebook and I have a question in regards to images.

Can I use pictures that I've taken, but are of a companies product that I own? I want to take apart the product and show how to properly do maintenance on it and also show the different parts and write about them because there relevant to the parts that come on all the products in my niche.
