Warriorforum Complete Website for Sale Or Flippa

Hi guys,

I wanted to sell my whole business. Everything!
Domain Name, Squeeze Page, OTO Page, 3 Reports.
71 MMO Subscribers list using Adf.ly and 7-Search.
I spent a lot of money following instructions on a WSO,
but it turns out bad and I lose a lot of money.

I only made 1 sales ($4.50) from the OTO page, negative ROI

I heard that Flippa are only people seeking to buy websites
that already are making money online. I am afraid to waste another
$19 listing Fee.

So guys, Flippa or Complete website for sale?

Probably won't go for much, unfortunately. I'd starts with the Websites For Sale section as I've found it to be easy. Hope it sells without having to bump the post though!

Personally I would post it on Flippa, make it a 3 day sale, start at $1.00 w/no reserve, and write a kickass sales letter description.

Talk about "Potential" income that can be earned from the site. Get your traffic logs from your hosting and post the screenshots of the traffic, view the "hits" not "visits" (most people on flippa don't know the difference).

Hits will be every file downloaded, so 10 images on 1 page would be 10 hits (I think that's how it goes), basically the hits will be higher than visits, so post screenshots of, and mention in your description the number of hits.

Make sure you say the word "potential" when talking about projected income.

If the design is nice and the domain is good, you'll probably get around $100.

        Best of luck,
        Rich

Complete website for sale seems good. Flippa is good for the exposure and if the site is making money.

I'm a little worried. What if people are not interested because it is not making any money (Negative ROI). I don't want to hype up my website, and be very honest. I could even price it at $20 just to get my listing fee back.

First time selling too, so I don't know how to price my website.
Please help me decided approximately how much should I sell my website

    Its in the IM/MMO niche
Here is my website sales funnel:
Squeeze page -> OTO -> Thank you Page
71 subscribers (mostly from adf.ly, yes I know its crap traffic. But around 10-20 are from 7-search) Regret following a certain WSO
1 sale from OTO page ($4.50)
3 Reports can be use to give away or sell.
    6 Videos
    1 powerpoint template
    Free $12 7 Search
Free another domain (useless domain that I follow a WSO and fail)

So these are the stuff they get. How much do you think I should charge?

Here are a few words from a person who was in sales for almost 15 years (me): I understand the "ethics" of selling your website, but in the end it is up to the buyer to do his/her research and make sure that they are not getting ripped off.

Your entire goal here is to make a profit, so do your best to do that. Without lying or bending/stretching the truth, take RSMarketing's suggestion and make a kick ass sales page for it. Talk about the potential and just let it ride.

Are you really going to be disappointed if you get MORE money than you're hoping for?

          Ouch. Major ouch.

If you want to be a business person, your goal is still to make a profit.

Look at the LA Dodgers. A man named Frank McCord (sp?) bought them for US$700 mln dollars a few years ago and ran them in the ground. He went through a messy divorce, filed for bankruptcy and was hit with a huge alimony bill, and is under investigation for various things.

Major League Baseball told him that he was no longer fit to be a franchise owner and that he had to sell the team. So he did.

For US$2 billion. He took one of the most iconic teams in American sports, demolished it, and then made a US$1.6 billion profit. Don't believe me? Go to ESPN.com and look it up...this happened about 2-3 weeks ago.

Take your loss and turn it into a profit if possible. And then learn from it and don't do it again.

Well, it costs $20 for Complete Sites for Sale, but unfortunately, since your site hasn't made any money, it's going to be a tough sell. You could try Flippa as a start-up site, but I wouldn't expect too much.

My best opinion... Keep the site, grow it and profit from it - it may take some time and work, but you need to be patient in order to profit from it. Do you have products for sale?

I don't even have the money to keep next months hosting anymore. That's why I am really urgent. I call for the WSO seller to help me and he keep calling me to buy Adf.ly Ads until I have 300 subscribers. I already spend $45 on advertising and only got 71 subscribers and only 3-6 people that open my emails. It will probably took me $300 to reach 200 subscribers.

In IM as in any business you need to know when to cut your losses. You indicate that u will be happy just to get your listing fees back . So why even list . I understand that you have listed already . Unless you are tied into some hosting contract just let the site lapse . Learn from it and move on but dont give up .

Like anything getting started and keeping going after a setback is tough , but the way to make it is to keep going , be prepared to write off losses where they occur rather than pouring more money down a hole.

I admire the fact that you dont want to hype up a product that just aint cutting it . Thats a great attitude . You dont want someone else sitting in the same boat . If its a dud , just let it lapse and write it off as a bad investment or if you have a buyer , let them know what the site is doing .

Flippa is good for selling sites but if you don't have much of a reputation there I would stay clear.
Another option is selling it here on the WF. Or keep hold of it a bit longer and put some more work into it and then you will be able to sell it easier or keep hold of it if you are making monthly profits.
