I spend a few hours today editing an article in Power Article Rewriter and the end result is only about 40% unique. This definitly doesn't seem worthwhile and I put lots of effort in giving roughly 4 alternatives for every sentence along with numerous synonyms for most of the words.

I'm thinking that unique article creation is the only way to go. Any advice on this?

That's way too much time to spend rewritting one article...just think you could have written a few of your own unique articles in the same amount of time...or just paid someone 5-10 bucks to write one for you...

    Dragone,
Here's a few tips that are simple to implement.

    1. Always use "null values" when possible. For instance, say you have some "fluff sentences" that aren't really crucial to understanding the entire article...simply create a "blank" value (hit enter after highlighting).

This starts to vary your article length when you do it in different paragraphs.

    2. Create lists but only show partials. So, for this, say you have 9 tips for waxing a car. Create an article that gives 3 tips and spin the 9 tips among the three...again, you're playing a lot with length and that is going to really boost the uniqueness.

    3. Spin titles and resource boxes...and include them in your main article window. Ok, so a lot of people use PAR to write their article then give their articles the same title, and use the same resource box. Include the title in the main PAR area and also include the resource box and spin them both considerably. This goes a long way in SEO benefits as well...for other reasons, but it also helps to get the uniqueness up...after all, that will be on the page with your article too.

Lastly, I wouldn't stress out too much on uniqueness until you have actually tested what's getting snagged as dupe content. Remember, your spun article text isn't the only thing on the page...far from it, all the other text on the article directory site (adds, categories, related links, etc...) will be eaten by the bot as well...though structure will play a part in how it sees the page.

    Cheers,
    Jack

P.S. If you'd like to send me one of your PAR files, I'd be glad to take a look and see if anything else starts to stand out in the way you are spinning...and mum's the word on the content or niche.

I totally agree, I have tried all that software and for me, nothing is faster than a quick rewrite. Just read, summarize, read, summarize and I can write something in like 10 minutes.

Here is a tip - always grab about 3x the amount of words than you need for the article. It gives you plenty to work with.

For instance, I take an entire Wikipedia article of 2000 words plus and summarize everything down to 500 words - and I can do it in 15 minutes.

Read a paragraph and write it in your own words. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes per article

Use the article spinner to spin and then change every third word with the thesaurus meaning of the word. This will help hugely in delivering articles that can pass copyscape.

Of course, there's no reason to use a spinner for one rewrite.

But the spinner will give you a couple hundred articles that are 40% unique from the original. That's a different article for various directories, a different one on squidoo, hubpages, wordpress.com, usfreeads, etc.

And you get faster with practice.

Just a few things to think about. Of course, you have to choose what works best for you. But not everyone has had the same experience with spinners as you described.

In any case, here's to your success.

I agree about using spinner to create hundreds of unique evrsion. But if you are looking to create less than ten, rewriting would be more preferable.

Yes, you can use article spinner to sped up your rewriting time. But I'm not really fond using it. Most of the article it generates seems more like it was written by a lifeless bot. I also recommend writing your own unique article, helps you develop your writing speed.

    Hi Dragone,

You've just tried one tool and made a decision
based on your first effort. Things like this take
time to master. I would argue that if you need
more than a handful of articles, and then spin
them. Otherwise do them by hand or use a tool
    like Word Flood.

I do a combo. I use Word Flood to help me
create alternate articles, and then enter those
into my article spinner. I get the best of both
Worlds, but you could probably get away with
using your thesaurus in your favourite
    wordprocessor.

Spin articles give me great result in back links and traffic, and each article I spin for different purpose.

For back links - I don't care much about AIDA writing, so it pretty dirty and general, I use it for back links.

For traffic magnet, I will write the title and article to focus on certain keywords, even I write it for spin. Using SENuke should always doing this for maximum result.

Google seems to dis-count the links for unique content, and although they work, but the link juice is not as good as unique article.

I outsource spin article and some time write them myself, and each article takes me 1 to 2 hours to write, optimize and ready for submission.

If 1 article can produce 300+ unique back links with 20 ~ 30% uniqueness, I think it worth every second that I spend! Because you are not writing 1 article, but 300 unique articles.

BTW, although rewriting every sentence is preferred, but I normally rewrite the paragraph, and each article has around 6+ paragraphs.

I re-write 2 times, makes the article a total 3 different version for each paragraph. 6 paragraph would make 3X3X3X3X3X3 = 729 articles.

I submit it to articlemarketingautomation, and after 1 months I would have around 100~200+ blog posts. I also use ArticlePostRobot to submit to 60 highPR directories with each directory a unique version of the article.

Think about the back links... I love it and still doing it, you just need to see result before you are convinced that spin article worth the time and effort.

Article spinning seems like such a waste of time. Why don't you just spend the few minutes it takes, literally, to write your own 100% unique?

-or- do what I, and a bunch of other people do .. outsource.

Sheesh, people spend all this time and effort into short cuts, but they are only cutting themselves short..

I 100% agree with you here. Article spinning software are
just tools to be used like any other... use them wisely, you
get good results, use them poorly, ... we all know what
happens when you don't use tools properly.

You never hear people complaining that blogs are bad
because your need to hone your HTML skills. Blogs are
tools just as article spinners are.

            Hey Dragone

I think it depends on what your strategy and goal is.

In a nutshell, if you are needing many articles then a investing time in setting up a spinner is worthwhile.

If you only need a few, then write them yourself or pay someone.

Spinners lead to many articles in a few hours so stick with them and set them up so you can speed through.

I also don't think 40% unique is low.

            Good luck.

Ok you guys have given me more hope about spinning. I will see if they articles get accepted at their average uniqueness of about 40% and then take it from there. I can see how beneficial it would be to creat 30 articles from spinning a PLR article for 2-3 hours and this is what I would like to do instead of paying hundreds of dollars on articles that I am not even sure will help me sell products.

Would have to agree! I think that Article writing software can be used just like any other tool, it just needs to be used productively and efficently first to produce quality results, although spending a few hours on one article is a little excessive, learning the structure of article writing is big plus when starting with your ideas!

I rewrite my articles up to 500% it generally takes an hour and a half to do, my titles are 2000% rewritten. I figure if I'm going to spend the time on this, then I'll make it worth my while and be able to use the article for a long time to come.

Generally, I take every sentence and rewrite it up to 10 times, restructuring and sometimes breaking it into two or three sentences. This varies the length and the article structure.

Maybe it's overkill, but I'd rather be overly unique on my rewrites than not unique enough.

Read various articles related to your topic or just rewrite one article of your choice and try to come up with your own words with 2 or 3 variations on it, then spin it. You're then more guaranteed that you produce unique articles from spinning.

Interesting post! I'm loving Power Article Rewriter so far (thanks to Jack for the excellent instructional video in your WSO!) and I usually get to 30-35% uniqueness before I submit. Doing it this way, I haven't had any issues with EZA or other directories.

I usually only achieve about 30% uniqueness for my spinned articles and it seems that it's more than enough. I have managed to get multiple top-3 rankings for several competitive keywords... So 40% is more than enough.

Using spinned articles to me is a no brainer to get a lot of useful backlinks and increase my rankings.
