Just wanted to share this amazing free affiliate program script that I have been running for a while and I must say it is fantastic.

    How long have you been using this as your affiliate management software? I have to look into it further but, is there any pros and cons you can share with us from your experience?

      Hi,

      I have used this script for over 2 years now. I have not seen any problems so far. It reports clicks and sales to affiliates correctly. You just have to use is correctly.

    Just downloaded the script, and installed on my local server to check if this a good affiliate script. It's easy to install, but I've encountered lots of errors when trying to login to the admin area. It turns out this script was created using PHP 4 while I use PHP 5 on my server. This script uses lots of PHP 4 functions which deprecated in PHP 5. So I think it's only good if you're still using a web host with PHP 4.

      I have been running it on PHP5 and on hostgator hosting without any problem. As you know hostgator is php5 so I am sure if you upload it to a live server it would work. I think you have warning ON on your local server and that is why you see all the errors. Try to put it online.

        Yes, it might work on most servers with PHP5, and you cannot found any problems because servers like hostgator have turned off some of the error display feature. Usually, only fatal errors that will be shown. Hint: You can see all errors that I've been mentioned by looking into the php error log files.

        I'm a PHP programmer myself, and always check scripts that I'd like to use in my local server, and in my rackspace cloud server to check if there's any error.

        The errors I've found in the script are not fatal, only some notices about php functions that has been deprecated. As for now, the script might still work without problem, but there's a possibility the script will stop working in the future. Also, if there's some error in a php script, it will also affect the server performance.

        Deprecated php functions are functions there about to be deleted in the future PHP versions. So, when servers like hostgator update their PHP to the newest version, the script might stop working. Unless, the script developer constantly update the script.

          I have been looking at similar threads and this idea seems especially attractive to me---a nonprofit is asking me for advice about setting up an affiliate program and I am sure that, philosophically, they will appreciate a free open-source solution. If not this then perhaps a WP plugin. I am no expert but at least I have some ideas thanks to fellow Warriors. Thanks !

    Seems to have some nice features, like approve affiliates manually or automatically. Also you can set a custom commission for every aff.

    Looks like they have just a single testimonial used 2 times on the site, nothing happening on the forum. Maybe it hasn't been around long?

      I know this company for atleast 2 years, so they have been around for a while. How ever looks like they have not been actively supporting their product. They may be busy doing other things i guess

    on search for open source Affiliate Scripts i found this thread in a prominent google-search position. thx, eLitius where new for me.

    i created a list of Affiliate-Software, Ad-Server, MLM-Server - especially open source.

    with eLitius i have my problems, because the demo admin panel is not working. can someone show me running projects with this software? is this software compatible to the 'complex' german tax-rules? this is the mostly common problem of open source solutions, i think.

    Open source scripts can be very good indeed - i use the URL shortener

    One word of caution wrt affiliates - you want to ENSURE whatever way you are tracking affiliates ideally works perfectly. Affiliates want to ensure they get paid for giving members of their list to you.

    we have installed elitius in a PHP 5 server and all works fine, just for one think... in admin folder I dont have commission.php file... why? it is created for the soft?? in admin panel there is an option that call it, by theresponse is a not found page...any idea, please?

      Sorry for bumping an old thread but I want to try this and having the same problem. I've pm'ed Bobby to ask if his copy has the xp/admin/commissions.php file.

      If anyone have this file please post to help.
