You might have just started out not too long ago, or maybe you have been into IM for a few years and haven't had real success. There are a lot of people like that and they tend to just give up, wasting all of the time and money they have invested in IM. That's truly a shame because it IS possible to make it work for you; just follow the right Do's & Dont's and it will make a huge difference.

Most Important: TAKE ACTION !!!
This is actually one of the most important things! It's so simple, yet not many people do it. You see, many people get excited at first and buy some $97 course and try it for a few days or a week at most. Soon they get fed up with it or see something else that looks better or seems to work faster, and they keep hopping from one idea to the other. You will never achieve something this way besides just wasting time and money. Please don't be one of those people. Most common IM techniques work, you just have to do it properly and stick to it. That's the first and foremost important step to follow for success with IM.
Make an action plan with achievable steps
After you have decided on something that you plan to do, like building Amazon affiliate sites for example, then make an action plan with achievable, fixed goals for every day or every week. Take a pen and paper and write down how you plan to do it. After that decide how much time you will spend every day on it. It really works to divide the time you have into sections.
For example:
-from 9AM-9:15 AM Check your email and write replies, etc.
-from 9:15-9:45 AM Research keywords and make notes
-from 9:45-10:45 AM Work on setting things up on your wordpress sites
or something else...
You see what I mean? There are cool and simple free apps you can download that let you set your schedule with multiple alarms, among other things. If you work in this way on a daily basis you will make great overall progress and won't get stuck on reading one blog post somewhere for 1.5 hours.
Time is precious, use it wisely, and keep your goals in mind.
Stay positive and don't give up
It's no secret that you might fail here and there, but that's OK; it will make you stronger and more experienced. Even if things turn out really badly, take a little break and try to stay positive no matter what happens. The mind is a tricky thing and when it gets into a state of negative thinking everything will go downhill very quickly; that's why I urge you to stay positive, breathe, and don't give up too quickly.
Internet Marketing DON'TS:
DON'T Buy, Follow & Try everything at once
This will end up overwhelming you. Before you know it the game's over quickly for you, because you'll get fed up and quit. I have seen this happen over and over again.
You cannot possibly follow all of the advice, all of the techniques and all of the different ways of IM at once. Focus on one teaching, like following only a few people's email lists that really provide value to you and don't try to sell you stuff 3 times a day. Stick to a few things and focus on that only until there is some success. You can change routes a little but not too much or too often because it's just a waste of time and money.
DON'T take it lightly. Treat it as a real business.
If you want to be successful in IM you have to treat it like a real business. Acting professional and being committed is very rewarding in many ways. Just imagine how it could be if you can quit your 9-5 job and take IM to the fullest, receiving a great income! Only people who were serious and treated it like a real business have succeeded that way.
DON'T begin with overly complicated projects.
Don't get involved with too many complicated and advanced things at first. Start out simple and then when you get a feel for it, you can take up more advanced things. Sometimes we tend to make things very complicated already by ourselves, like many other things in life, when there is truly no need. Simplicity is a very powerful thing; don't underestimate that.
DON'T get distracted.
When you work on something, try to give it all of your attention. Try to rule out distracting things by choosing a time when you are likely not to get disturbed. Lack of focus is a big problem for many people. Generally the mind remains very scattered and can't focus on one thing for even a few minutes. Making your mind calm by relaxing, breathing and simple things like that can make a HUGE difference.. If it all gets to be too much, just close your eyes for a few minutes and do something like conscious breathing. It makes all the difference...

Don't believe everything that people say online because there are a lot of scammers out there who don't care about you; they only want your money. Whatever you hear in an email letter, online forum, youtube video, blog or anywhere else, if it doesn't feel right or you don't agree with it then don't take it as a final answer. Most of the time when you see something being said over and over again for example: "Create your own product" you can bet that there is some truth to that.
Keep your action plan and timetable with you. Never forget to keep defining your goals and how to achieve them, trying to do at least a little something every day. When you are building your IM online presence, whether it be through a forum or any kind of online community, try to be a nice, helpful and responsive person. Show that you care about others, because together like a team we can learn quickly from each other.
If someone has scammed you, tell others about so that it doesn't happen over and over again. It's good to make buddies online and share info but don't get lost in "socializing" either because it will eat away your time. What I do personally is set a fixed amount of time everyday that I spend on social media, forums etc. That really works for me!
4 - SECRETS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
There is no such thing as a "magic button," a get rich overnight scheme, or a $5,000 monthly profit within your first week. Surely there have been a few exceptions but it's very, very rare and most people that claim those things are just selling nonsense to you. No doubt you can get to that point but it takes time, dedication, and patience.
Also don't trust ALL of the IM Gurus out there. There are great people to follow and learn from, and you should at least in the beginning, but even some of the big names don't give you the full scoop. They may leave important details out when you take any of their courses, so keep a watchful eye out.
One mistake beginning Internet Marketers sometimes do is sharing too much information with others, like sharing the affiliate sites you build for feedback. Don't get me wrong, feedback is a great thing if you ask the right audience, BUT people could take your idea, keywords, etc. and just leave you in the dust. Just be aware that there are people out there doing just that.
More and more people are trying to become an internet marketer. The internet is still growing everyday and is still in its infancy. There is so much potential in this digital world that has yet to be discovered; so try new things that no one has done before. If you truly believe in yourself, you can do incredible things.

If you are interested for example in learning and doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) it's always very tempting to do "Black Hat" stuff to get on google's first page faster, but all of those techniques usually don't last very long. Google is getting increasingly smarter these days and knows if you try to fool the system; that's why it's better to stick to "white hat" methods that are almost as good but might take a little longer. Most websites get a steady, good ranking in 3-4 months, and the rank depends on many factors. Original content is the key to good search engine optimization. You need good quality content that people like and want to share, thus creating backlinks for you.
I can personally highly recommend you to use the wordpress platform for any of the sites that you might build. It's by far the most popular platform and has a wide array of themes and plugins available that make it really wonderful to work with. Most internet marketers use wordpress these days to build their site due to its incredible versatility.
Don't be afraid to outsource some of the work that you might be doing. If you don't have design skills then it might be better to get someone on fiverr.com or some other outsource place to make designs for you, professionally, for just a few bucks. The same applies for writing articles or ebooks, etc. Getting a good writer makes all the difference and is cheaper than you think. Of course if you are starting out you don't want to spend too much, but then again you really have to treat this like a business and try to do it professionally, so spending a few bucks for people to help you isn't that bad in the long run.
One more point I'd like to share with you is something really cool that might actually motivate you to do more and try harder. Get a free blog, or if you want to buy a domain for it to make it more personal that's ok too.. use this blog purely to update your progress; for example, you could make a little post every few days and tell the world what you have been doing, what you are trying to do next, etc. People LOVE this, and this method is actually how many famous bloggers have started out. At the same time you learn form this, it will motivate you, you can track your progress, get your name out there, help other people by learning from you, and become popular.
I personally know a bunch of people that are doing it this way and a lot of people really like this!
Again I have to say this, take action.. statistically 9 out of the 10 people that buy a course or get training actually do not take action and don't go all the way through with it.
