How do you make a video go viral?

I have a question for the experts on our forum. How is it possible for an individual to assist in a video going viral on YouTube? It looks like there may be services to purchase for viral marketing. Which service is the best? Which one should be avoided?

Any helpful tips for manual techniques to assist in a video going viral? I hired a local videographer to produce 10, 3-5 minute videos that are instructional and quite funny for my brick and mortar business + a book I am having published this year. The intent on the videos is for local marketing, and book promotion, but someone mentioned the Videos could go viral, I know that could probably help my SEO for my web sites, I was curious what services we could investigate or steps we can take to make videos go viral?

Thanks for your help! (Videos are in production stage, not yet shot.)

    Jack, the key to going viral is emotional. You need to break people out of whatever current preoccupation they are mired in and laugh, scream, go "ouch!" etc.

    Content Is King. As for services that tell you they can get your video to go viral, caveat emptor. If your video doesn't have the right emotional "hook", you're sunk.

    You can think about youlikehits.com . But true virality can only be achieved through attractive contents.

    Try to get some social influencers in your field. It always helps if they are promoting your video through their fb and twitter account.

    When it is up on youtube, let me know. I will be more than willing to promote your video within my limited network Best of luck mate.

      Videos are about insurance tied to a book I'm publishing, but done in a satirical manner...I have a company locally that is directing/producing and I've provided the basic outline and they came up with very clever scripts, very humorous in my opinion...but if we can monetize it I would like to keep shooting additional videos, but naturally it's very expensive. If there is a way to make it go viral and monetize it, so we can continue shooting additional videos I'm all ears.

        From what I've been able to tell, the best way to get a viral video is to have a cute kitten kick some guy in the gonads while a toddler sings bad karaoke. :p

        Well, surely monetizing is very important. Otherwise, it is quite difficult for an indie developer to keep the stream of new stuff coming along. If the videos are of original production and original content, then you can try to adopt youtube ads inside your channel. Those come really handy at times. Unfortunately, due to my country's ghastly banking policy, I never used youtube ads myself, but you can give a search inside youtube.

        Use your facebook community, that always helps. Social influencers are the key to be honest. And many a time, the most effective social influencers are the the oddest of social groups. They can be pre adolescent kids from middle school, or retired senior citizens... Stereotyping is a ghastly decision when it comes to choosing "WHO" can help you in getting your videos viral. Truth be told, every bit of "virality" depends on the content. Content is everything. And even more harsher truth is, one might think the content is interesting and funny and everyone should like it and share. But, in many cases, that never happens. Only God knows what influences public interests these days

    I would guess that there are legit companies out there with some of the top creative minds and genius networking capabilities to spark viral success, but they're far and few between and would be extremely expensive and hard to find.

    Make a video which is humorous( funny, crazy) so that they will share it with Friends. If you have a network of friends share the humorous video with them also on face book and twitter.If it is really good automatically it will hit a lot of people.
