I've had a banner waiting for approval for days... the Mods are never in as much of a rush as you are.

Give it some more time. It'll get done, don't worry.

    Cheers,

Have fun waiting for weeks those things are a pain in the ass

      Now to the topic

The usual wait is about 12 hours but you probably won't be approved until morning

Okay. Is there a time limit for paying for the thread? I don't wake up until the afternoon.

No that's only for the ads on the top of the forum

No time limit to pay Andy, once it is approved it will sit there and wait on you. I'm surprised that 12 hours is the norm. I've waited about 2 for the threads I have done. I guess it just depends on time of day and the number of threads ahead of you.

How many licks does it take to get to the chocolatey center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop?

The world may never know. But, for starters, that doesn't change on the weekends. Approval time for ads does. Once they're approved, though, you can pay for them whenever you get around to it.

We've had a few people lately asking for speed in approval, because they planned a launch at a specific time, and one even promised that time to their affiliates.

Sorry. We don't guarantee the approval time, so you shouldn't either. Hell, we don't even guarantee approval. You probably want to read the stickies in the WSO section for more on that.

If you need to have something live at a specific time, leave yourself a large margin for error. I'd suggest a week. That way you're just about certain to know, and if it's not approved within 4 days, you'll have time to find out and make whatever changes may be necessary, assuming the product itself isn't the problem.

Just as an FYI.... I don't handle approvals for any of the ads here. I only know about the questions because people assume I do, and they ask me.

The advice is sound, though. Leave yourself time, since it isn't always as quick as you might like.
