Could some experienced marketers give me some feedback

Ok, newbie to IM marketing here (8 year ebayer). I am thinking of promoting a click bank product. I feel pretty good about the product. I have almost bought it twice myself as a consumer. It is in a competitive niche. I own in my opinion a decent 4 letter domain to promote it.

I read their information on affiliate marketing their product and they said that due to Googles recent changes to be successful at (they push PPC) I would have to have a landing page with my own domain due to hoplinks no longer being allowed. There are some WSO for landing pages so that seems reasonable.

I dont want to be reliant nor do I want to jump into PPC without doing a lot of research. So would I be better off to have the landing page created and SEO done on it or have a Wordpress Blog created and then have SEO done so I can get some natural traffic by adding articles?

The only concern with the content is that I mainly really want to promote this product and I dont want content about the niche that contradicts the product itself.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If I found a product I wanted to promote first off

    Id get the product

Then id hire a copywriter who is knowledgable on the subject to create a nice landing page

Id get a designer to make it pretty!

Then SEO IT I'm not a huge fan of PPC but if the copy and design is extremely good PPC should work pretty well

I guess I should have added that I have found the product and it has a sales page that I doubt could be beat by me at least. Its a solid product that has been around for a good bit of time. So I would funnel them from my landing page to their sales/content page.

You should create both a landing page (maybe even 2 or 3) different page. You will need to test to see what works best. You can get high quality landing page themes for less then $10 I usually get mine from theme forest. Really easy to setup too. Usually you can go to youtube and watch videos on how to set up these specific themes. Also if you dont want to touch that stuff, you could buy the themes then hire someone on fiverr. Im sure they would be tons on contractors willing to setup all 3 pages for 1 gig, which equals $5 on fiverr.

For you landing pages you will want to concentrate on building a list. Offer them something good for free that woud intrest to your market. Preferably something digital thats instant and free or of littles cost for you.

In return for them getting your free product you also can invite them over to your special vip blog to get information from the pros.

Now you have the prospect comfortable with you. You have fed them a good product and invited them to a awesome blog. So they would be more then happy to get a couple of email offers from you. They actually see it as great value!

Also for the blog you can get super clean theme for $35 and set it setup from a contractor off fiverr for 5-10 bucks. Also you can get all of your content and articles from fiverr too. Blog content less then $10 and 2-3 blog articles written for $5 and they are quality articles well written and researched.

You do have to do your research on these contractors. Check their rating and feedback. Send then questions in detail about what you want. If you dont get a good feel for the person you can find someone else. Their are tons of people willing to do work for cheap. Also dont go for the first price. Wait a day to get all responses to your details, then take action.

Also for setting up your campaign you may want to hire a pro to do that for you. Get it all dialed in, then teach you how to use it. Save time and money. You could find someone to do this for you for around 150-250.

Then you could run a search on all your competitors in your niche with a service like spyfu. This will tell you whos the biggest players and were their putting their dollars at. Now you can make your move more calculated to avoid loss. Usually your first month will be mainly testing. A good number to start for advertising budget is usually $500
