Excel/pdf help
This is his email:
I have created some PDF files of my various branches from my family history database. The "database" is in Excel workbooks but I have written a VB programme which reads the CSV files and converts them to Access, then does various other things including creating the PDF files. What I wanted to do was create an index to the people listed and be able to directly link from the index to the place on the pdf file. Linking to the appropriate file is no problem, nor is getting the pdf to open on the right page, but opening it in the right place is more tricky - unlike in HTML where it's easy to use the named anchor (as in my original post). I've read on the web about the PDF Open Parameters but they don't seem to work reliably. |
