Structuring my Membership Site Sales

Hi everyone, I'm excited to be here, I've heard such great things about this forum.

I have a slightly in-depth question about how to structure the sales funnels leading into my new membership site, and I feel it would be quicker to ask in a screencast.

If I were to record a 2 minute screencast, and post the link here, is that a reasonable way to ask? Will allow me get my point across quicker and more clearly.

Thanks

I'm a member of several high quality membership sites and this is what they're using:

    1. Squeeze Page offering a good quality freebie or freebies. (This aspect melts any resistance)
    2. One Time Offer
    3. Main Front End offer
    4. Upsell
    5. Downsell
    6. Free Download
    7. Affiliate Offer Banner/Link on Download page

It seems like a lot of gates to pass through but if it's all good quality stuff then the prospect won't mind.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. That's a very handy list of important components, I've made a note of it.

My question is about how to sell multiple sections of the site with different sales pages and the specifics of how this would work in OptimizePress.

Do you think it's OK forum etiquette to post a screencast?

(I'll have post a bit more before I can insert URLs of course)

If you mean allowing restricted access to certain levels of the site for different levels of membership then you might want to check out Wishlist Member which was rated the best out of 30 or so membership site software plugins by one experienced marketer.

As far as I remember, with Wishlist member, you create a seperate Sales Page using Optimize Press or any other Sales Page plug in or software. Then you link the payment button to the payment processor. Once the payment is made, you link them to the membership sign up page for the level that they paid for. You can assign different levels for differrent users according to how much they paid.

Some people are saying that Kajabi is better than Wishlist Member. It's worth checking out.

Membersnap is a membership site software package created by Warriors and available in The Warrior Forum. It was created by a multi-million dollar marketing team. It has received many good reviews. It allows you to have multiple levels and already has a sales funnel in place. You can use their ready made sales pages and products or edit and add your own sales page and products.

Warrior Press in the WSO Forum is also a very good looking membership site software to manage all your downloads if you're planning to launch WSO's.

P.S To admins: I am not an affiliate for any of these and I have not posted any affiliate links. Just trying to be helpful.

Yes these are in the MMO Online and IM Niches mainly but the sales funnel I mentioned can be used in almost any niche as long as the offers you put forward in each part of the sales funnel are of great value to the buyer.

Mainly Clickbank products in other niches use this type of sales funnel.

That's ok dude. You're welcome. I'm planning to set up some membership sites myself.

Have a read through this thread:

At the moment I'm looking at the technical but flexible and secure combination of WordPress + OptimizePress + Digital Access Pass (do they call WOD stack?)

Just want to know how to get OptimizePress to allow multiple sales pages into the same membership site. Basically it's a single membership at a flat rate for all sections, but I want different sales pages into each section (with other sections mentioned as bonuses) if that makes sense?

My question is how to do that in OP in terms of which page templates to use.

I've just had a thought, once I've gone through the pain of setting all this up what's to stop me using WP Twin or similar to clone the entire setup and sell this as an off-the-shelf solution?

      Ben,

No one can stop you - as long as you have secured the appropriate licenses for everything you're about to sell.

So for example, if you were using DAP and had a 1-site license (or purchased the Developer's license), then you could sell the entire web site along with the DAP license and setup.

There are many who are doing this - selling not just freshly setup membership sites, but even fairly aged membership sites with active members and subscriptions. Of course, for the latter, you won't have to do a clone - just hand over keys to all login info, and then just walk away (after you get the payment, of course :-).

And as a sidebar, this is where it would be useful to have non-Paypal payments tied to your web site, as it's not easy to hand-over Paypal accounts that are in your name (or your business's name).

      - Ravi Jayagopal

PS: By the way, I don't think you can flip a site with *your* OptimizePress license on it, unless you handed over the entire license as well (in which case, you can't use it on your own other sites, and would have to purchase a separate OP license for your next for-flipping site. So you may want to check with them first.

Ben - to answer your question about OptimizePress and multiple sales pages... it's easy. OptimizePress is just a Wordpress theme. It does not control any of your membership options like protecting pages. That's all handled by your membership software, like DAP.

So, just create however many pages you want to use for your different levels of membership and sell one level of membership per page.

Like with Wishlist Member, you'll get a unique URL that you will include in your shopping cart software as the thank you page for each level and that's how your members register for your site and the different levels.

    Hopefully that wasn't too confusing.
