what do you HATE the most about internet marketers' emails?

I don't create this thread to whine, gossiping other marketers, or name-calling. But let's face it here : I'm sure you all have signed up to other marketers' list, having your own list, or both. Consider this thread as a feedback if you have a list, especially in IM niche. Heck, I even sent mails to my list not just about what they like, but what they hate about my newsletters. Of course you can't please everyone, but such feedback is precious.

So, without blowing things out of proportion, let's share.

These are what I hate the most about IM'ers emails (some samples of them) :

I signed up a marketer one day to get some cool software. But what happened in only 5 days was, my inbox was flooded by 80+ (yes, I'm not exaggarating) by this marketer alone!! . Turned out that s/he sent me more than 10 emails a day pointing to his/her ad-swap partners and some paid products. I was so angry that I hit the "spam" button 6 times in my Gmail, unsubscribed, and block this sender.

Another marketer I've signed up told me in his download page he'll only send email once a week. At the first weeks, it's true. But then, he broke his promise and sending me 3 emails a day pointing to his swap partners. I finally unsubscribed. It's not the 3 emails/day that upset me, but how he broke his promise. Why promising if you can't deliver?

And another marketer was when I was his WSO buyers' list. He did nothing but promoting another WSO's every single day in all and every of his emails. I liked his WSO very much, it's a good stuff and it's making me money. I could be buying from him again, but finally bye-bye because he treats his buyers list like milking a cow.

I have nothing against pointing to swap partners here, or daily mailing, or pointing to paid products - I understand you need to make money! But what I personally dislike is when the marketer doesn't respect his/her list as if : "you have sold your soul (email) for my freebie, so now I can do anything and send anything I want to your email".

The "hype-ness" can get repetitive. No, your program won't make me $100,000 in 30 days. It probably won't make me $2. I'd be more likely to buy something if it weren't hyped up... I'd be more likely to look at it if it wasn't said to make me a millionaire in 2 weeks.

Agree or on the other side?

My #1 annoyance is getting on a list and getting a daily email with a clickbank referral.. or promoting another WSO (as you mentioned). It makes me say bye bye very quickly. I want the site authors thoughts.. and a relationship.. not some used car salesman. The occasional link for something, I understand.. but the rule seems to be to spam the hell out of the list anymore. I just don't get it.

I absolutely hate it when they lie.

The other day I got one where the sender say my good buddy (jv partner) sent me a private invitation to join his online seminar. When he sent me the invite I asked him (he asked me to send a mailing to my subsribers) if it was ok to send the invite to some of my close friends (his subscribers).

He said it was ok but the spots were very limited so you have to go there now before it fills up.

Seriously are people this dumb that they fall for all this stuff. If he had just told the truth I might have even checked it out to what its all about. This is just one email that I remember from not long ago, but almost all the emails I get are just full of lies and deception. They are not even good lies, I mean if your going to be deceptive and lie at least make up something good.

I consider the hype-ness in line with the lies and deception. We all know that one click piece of software will not generate you 1 million dollars overnight.

I read a post on here the other day where one person mentioned that she doesn't like john Reese or his marketing strategies. Well i had to sign up for his list after hearing that. As soon as i did, i get an email from him saying that 8 people had just dropped out of some sort of program he was running and that i better get over there quick to sign up. Seriously!! you have hundreds of thousands of people on your list you knob, and you have 8 bloody spots to fill...and i get this email just after signing up?

Do we really need yet another of the same gripe again?

If you don't like what they send, unsubscribe. They'll get the message. Complaining about it here isn't going to change a single thing. If it were, it would have done so years ago.
