Question - Membership - Online Information

Quick question, has anyone developed a membership website where people paid x-amount per month to view information which could easily be found on the internet?

Meaning, someone pays you money for a membership to access information about information which is all right there and they do not need to go searching for it?

Any legal issues?

    There are tons of membership sites like this. BUT... you can't just go around swiping other people's content, adding it to your site and charging people for it.

    It needs to be unique. People pay for convenience and if you can gather a bunch of useful information into one place for them, they'll pay you for it. But you have to provide them with value.

    Confused about your question, do you want to make yourself a membership site or are you looking for a membership site, if you are looking for membership are you looking for internet marketing membership site? Confused, can you be more specific on your question please..

      Basically, a membership site with my own content, but with information posted on other websites and all hosted there, more like a reference with reference noted. So information about a topic will be shown but referenced on other websites like, youtube, wiki, etc...

    I'm honestly not sure about the legalities of this... I wouldn't feel comfortable charging for another person's public Youtube video. I could see posting it there as reference for your members but not as exclusive content.
