Who Says the IM Niche is Saturated?
I've been putting off picking out a name and registering a domain name until *after* the book is finished. But now I'm about halfway done and figured maybe it's time I start hunting for names.
After all, it's not going to be easy to find a good .COM domain in the Internet Marketing niche, is it?
I had a name in mind, but it wasn't too flashy. Very matter-of-fact again. Anyway, when I went to the domain registrar, I had (what I hope turns out to be!) a brilliant idea for a domain name. Surely, it must be taken, but I'll check anyway.
Lo and behold, it is available!
So, I registered that puppy pronto!
(I just checked my matter-of-fact domain choice, and it is taken...)
I think it's a pretty awesome name, and will fit nicely with the direction I'm shooting for. I am a bit surprised that no one's grabbed it before. Seriously. Maybe because it's a bit longish (4 words) but still people seem to grab everything!
And, I didn't even have to use any of the negative words (like assassin, and so on) that were the topic of discussion a few weeks back. Nor did I have to resort to any potentially offensive words either. All generic words. Didn't have to use Google or AdSense or any potentially infringing tradenames in the domain.
Maybe later some gurus will (hopefully!) be kicking themselves for not grabbing this one!
At any rate, just because a market may seem like it's pretty saturated doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to find a good .COM domain name for that niche!
