Just got an order for my first Fiverr gig!

Even though it is just five dollars -1, I am pretty excited. Last month I had an accident that has left me disabled and during that time I have been unable to make an income. As the former bread winner of the family I have been dependent on my wife who's meager earnings is barely able to get us by. It is tooth and nail around here. Even as little as this is, it does help my self esteem and motivates me.

Hello Chris, A big congrats to you. Don't let the disability stand in the middle of your way to success. You have a long way to go and God will be with you to bless your efforts. Stay strong and do what you can and as best as you can. And you'll be able to earn a full time income online. Let the $5 be the beginning of huge success and a well established online business...

    All success...

    Congratulations, here is for more!

Now try offering as many gigs as you can, the more you offer the more of a chance you have of getting orders, its all a numbers game.

Fiverr is actually a pretty fun place. That is what funded my first purchase. I am still doing fiver gigs to this day and it actually accounts for around $50 a week income.......which isnt bad for a $5 gig. This was mentioned before but I will say it again......add more gigs and you will generate more sales.

      Anyways Congrats!

Congrats Chris! Behind every difficulty lies an opportunity and it looks like you're grabbing it by the throat.

You can also make money writing articles on sites such as iwriter.com.

There are also several other sites similar to Fiverr. Maybe some other warriors can recommend some?

Awesome! It really is a great feeling when you make your first sales in something no matter how small. List as many gigs as you can do, even if they are slight variations of the same gig, just try to use up your quota of 20 gigs. Make sure to put a video on them and you should see your sales going up and up.

    Good luck to you!

    Chris,

I am so glad I stubbled across this post. I too have a few Fiverr gigs and have not got a single hit yet and it has been over 3 weeks. But just like everyone else says its a numbers game and I need to get cracking and post more gigs to increase my chances.

A big congrats to you for your first sale, I bet you were happy as all heck.

Have you tried offering something really specific...instead of something broad. For example, instead of offering to write a 300 word article over any topic, I put up a gig that offered writing a 300 word article in a specific niche. (a niche that I am very knowledgeable about and could write about without any research) I was suprised to see that I started getting orders right away. To the point that I ended up cutting off the gig for a while. Now I brought it back a few days ago with the "fiverr extras" ... a 600 word article for $5 extra bucks. I got an order for the $10 article the next day. Not sure if this has worked for others, just a suggestion.

Congrats Chris!! Keep it going. It is an easy way to make a little extra, but you eventually start feeling like you are worth more. Don't forget to add the "fiverr extras". I added this in to my gigs and the first two customers ordered the extras as well .

Good job Chris! Like our fluffy wonder cat, I also highly recommend putting up an ad in the Warriors for Hire section and Craigslist.

Congrats Chris, here's to your first of many.

Make sure you deliver on time and over-deliver. Turn this customer into a rabid repeat customer - who will tell everyone he knows to buy from you

  • Congratulations, I remember when I got my first email that I got $47 in paypal I jumped up and down it took that one sale to make 3000+ more of that ebook but starts small. The key is that once you make small sales it helps you believed.

Just move foreword. Good luck to you!

  • Hey Chris Congratulations!! I know first hand about having a sudden disability and being the major bread winner. This happened to me and my family a couple of years ago. I applaud you for not giving up and looking for ways to generate an income. I found a link with 20 other sites that are similar to Fiverr. I am not an affiliate and I have not used these other sites but they may be worth checking out. Here is the link:Top 20 Sites like Fiverr | Phill Turner.

    Good luck to you!!

Nice one Chris, always good to see people still trying no matter what life throws at them!

If you have any other skills or services that you can offer to people, throw them up as gigs and also try out a couple of freelance websites. I've started making a decent bit of cash on the side on-top of my full-time job just from freelance stuff. Be prepared to start off low paid until you build some reviews and a name for yourself though!
