    well done! That is persistence! I have made my first affiliate sale recently, but not yet for my ClickBank product I'm promoting. I'm building a list and am nearly up to 100 subscribers (been going about a month now). It takes patience - I will be so pumped when I make my first CB sale!!

    Out of interest, how many subscribers should I aim to get before I can expect my first sale? I've gone down the route of good squeeze page, good quality freebie, send useful information via e-mail, then every 4th / 5th e-mail make an offer of a good quality product.

      It's nearly impossible to say. I earned my first ClickBank money from a website that got almost no traffic - through a very clever banner ad. It was months before I had any subscribers at all, but I kept making money here and there from that.

      I would say that if you aren't making a sale or two per hundred people at minimum, then it may be that your list and your offers aren't matched up very well, or your call to action is weak. There are a bunch of factors that could be at play...

      It's also possible that the helpful content you give them is too good and they have no need to buy anything. It can happen!

        Argh, so many factors, it's hard to know what I need to tweak! I'm pretty sure my list and offers are well matched up. It's an MMA list (mixed martial arts), which I get subscribers for via forum marketing, YouTube vids of mma training techniques and Facebook ads on the pages of people whose interests include MMA, and I'm selling a strength and conditioning program for mixed martial arts.

        I know the program sells quite well, as I've spoken to a few people online who have bought it and speak highly of it. I bought it and use it myself, and it's excellent. The author has a good reputation in the field too.

        Any chance you'd want to sign up to my list, then let me know if my e-mails are on target? The sign up page is in my signature.

    I had that same problem too, My amount was probably only $88 at the time and I waited my 60 days and didn't receive a check until the next summer...I almost gave up on making money on the internet after that incident, but luckily I don't give up easy and now I work full-time from home or anywhere for that matter

    I got my 1st check last year in Jan 2011. It was just 109$. But, it gave me so much confidence that I went on to make another 10k that year...

Keep in mind that Google has been updating its algorithms lately (aka Penguin) so be sure that you keep your sites as reader friendly as possible if you're relying on organic traffic....Also, keep your site fresh and updated whenever possible...SEO rules are always changing!

    Ha ha, if you're not doing a lot of clickbank promoting getting over that CDR can be killer, man!

    From the first time I actually opened a clickbank account it probably took me about 5 years, ha ha. But as far as active promoting, took me 18 months at least, with over $300 in the account. Everyone just kept buying with paypal for a while! Obviously I was not getting a lot of sales, regardless.

    A word of advice, invest what you have earned wisely. You mentioned you had a mentor, i suggest you ask him for advice on the best place to inject your money. $113 is not much but if invested in the right way, it can double your income as well as build you a sustainable income over a few months/year.

    The feeling you get when you make your first money online is unforgettable, I remember exactly how I felt when it first happened to me - priceless :-)

    Anyway, congratulations and don't stop, keep taking more action and when you find something truly valuable that works, simply make your money and then hire a VA or two, educate them what they have to do and let them do the work for you. This will free up your time and enable you to expand further.
