I am working on my own keyword research tool and I 'd like to hear some feedback. What is the most important features the best keyword tool should have?

1. Searches volume - very obvious, but what's the next most important data it should provide?
Cost per Click
Competition - eg. All In Title data
EMD available?
The PR of top 10 websites
How old are competing websites
How many backlinks competing websites have
How many kids do owners of competing websites have
Anything else?

Wildcard search - is it important?
This is how most keyword tools work - you specify the seed (aka parent) keyword and it will show you all the keywords related to your seed keyword.
I haven't seen a software that can do wildcard keyword search. My software does! You can simply tell it to show ANY keywords (without specifying the seed keyword) that meet certain criteria. Eg. show me any keywords with 800 search volume $10 CPC and less than 20 competing websites. And it will show you this
national student loan contact - 880 searches, $10.93 CPC, only 19 competing websites
To find this keyword with any other tool you have to start with 'national student loan' in the first place. However I found it using a wildcard search.
So do you think the ability to do a wildcard search is important?

Another thing that I found out is that most tools are extremely slow and they will only find a limited number of keywords. In order to find all the keywords related to your niche you have to start over many times with different seed keywords. What my tool can do is deliver 20,000 keywords in a few seconds for seed keyword 'jobs'.
    Here: Link removed.

I can narrow down the search to find really expensive keywords like
masters degree in psychology jobs $37.12 CPC
Or I can look for real longtail keywords 8+ words with no competition
what job can i get with a psychology degree
    (9 words) $30.46 CPC

Besides wildcard search I can do anything I want with my database. Eg if I need to find keywords ending with double e, I can search for *ee and find this:
    "tennessee mesothelioma lawyer" $211 CPC
Or I can search for * a a* and get these results to see how many people don't know proper english
how to make a app 3,600 searches- OK you probably don't have to know proper english to make a app
how to become a actor 1,900 searches- same here Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schw. both became a actor, so no problem
But these guys probably need to learn about the use of a and an articles before writing a autobiography
how to make a airplane 1600 searches
how to write a autobiography 1300 searches
These features are obviously not very useful, they are just to show what you can do when you build your own keyword tool.

The possibility of searching multiple seed keywords at the same time. Also using a built in proxies to get around googles limiting factor.

Also the speed of the program is the main thing for me.

What proxies? I have already extracted the data from google and have stored it on my own server.

You didn't check the link, did you?

Ok let 's compare my software to Market Samurai. How long does it take you to find all the Pregnancy related keywords with Market Samurai. I can do a search for pregnan* and it will show all keywords for pregnant and pregnancy. It will also show me the how many websites have exact same keyword in title.

So here you go, 16 thousand keywords in 2 seconds, how long does Market Samurai take? Please let me know.

Also is the partitial keyword search feature useful? So you don't have to do 2 separate searches for pregnant and pregnancy.

        Hi HN

I just had quick look at your link and this looks EXCELLENT. If you can add EMD option then I think this tool beats any other tool on the market.

Is there a demo access to test drive this more? Current page doesn't let me change selections.

        Thanks

          EMD option = no problem.
Let me change a few things in the script and provide you with a working demo with advanced search feature.

Please keep in mind that I am working with very small keyword selection. I have extracted 1 million keywords so far and only 600,000 have the AllinTitle information. I can collect AllInTitle info for 4,000 keywords per hour from Google search results. 12,000 per hour if I use all my 3 computers.

Yes, this is what I am using to find the least competitive keywords. I switched it off in free preview mode.

In fact I have found 60,000 keywords what have less than 100 competing pages.
