Question from a new member

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this site and to IM, but going through the different forums here has already been quite helpful.

I have a question hopefully someone can help me answer. I have a copy and accompanying product aimed at people who just lost their jobs or are in fear of losing their job. Its content acts as a motivator to get people to find the courage to discover and expose their true talents, in aim of starting their own (internet) business. Having gone through the wso, I found that most products for sale there deal with the 'how' on becoming a successful internet marketeer, whereas my product deals with the 'why', helping people overcome their fears and uncertainties.

My question is if this product would be suitable for the wso, or that it might be better off on sites like clickbank. Reason I ask is because I can imagine most people on this site don't need any explanation on the 'why' of getting your own motor going.

Any advice is welcome of course!
Regards

I would NOT attempt to sell this on the Warrior Forum. This sounds like a personal development product and they're notorious for tanking in the WSO forum.

I'd recommend you sell it on clickbank/digiresults etc and promote it in job/career/personal finance/work from home websites/forums etc

I agree with Darren. The people searching for offers here already know the "why". That's why there's so many offers for the "how".

I agree with the above posts; I wouldn't post that in WF; people know the "why" already; that's why they're here.

Have you thought about making a niche site for your product (presuming people are in need of your product; do some keyword research and see if people are searching for anything related) and driving traffic to your site?

My best performing niche site is actually in the "career" industry. You'll find plenty of ways to get buyers of your product - IF THERE IS A NEED FOR IT. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Yeah, clickbank would be more appropriate for that I'd say.

It will be more successful if you turn your idea of personal development into an ebook and sell on Amazon/other right channels not WSO and then you can sit back and make lots of income.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum.

I don't actually agree, overall. I think your observation is true of the regular posters here, which is perhaps a big part of the reason for your thinking that. But "the regular posters" here are not necessarily the same market as "the WSO buyers here".

What proportion of WSO's are sold to people who are not even members? And what proportion to people who are actually members but never post? (I don't think there are known answers, but perhaps you take my point?).

I think it might possibly go over well as a WSO, actually.

However, that said, there's one big problem with listing it as a WSO, and that is that nobody knows you, here. And that often makes a big difference to how well a WSO will sell.

Wishing you good luck with it ...

Piggybacking on what Alexa said, I also believe that the product you describe has the potential to do well here. Blanket statements made about WSO buyers and what products do and do not work aren't usually very reliable as they are personal opinions more often than not.

That being said, my thinking that this could work is just a personal opinion as well. I base it off of the fact that we have our own pretty active self-help/personal development section over at Mind Warriors. Now will your product cater to these users? I don't know; but you can find out by spending some time in there and starting conversations on the topics your book covers (without being promotional of course). If they generate interest, there is probably going to be interest for your product.

Take some more time to contribute to the forum before trying a WSO. You are an unknown quantity and will face more of an uphill battle if you try to go it with no contributions to the forum. Establish yourself and then go for it I say.

Thank you all for your kind and informative replies. Am now venturing into the mindwarrior forum. I'd have to agree that my product does seem to address issues that are discussed there.
Thanks again and I'll keep you posted.
      regards
